Hands down, Prime. If you're not already on a pre-order list for him then you had better correct that. Second place, just my opinion, would be the Yamato 1/48 Super VF-1J. I'd steer clear of the MPC's. The YF-19 FP will not be terribly hard to get your hands on. The Alternators Smokescreen will only be $20 at Toys R Us, and I am sure it will be like the rest of the TRU exclusives in that it will be hard to find on release but warming shelves and stacked 20 deep after a month or so. I don't know much about Gundams. Transformers and Macross are my bag. Seems most people are agreeing with me though, placing Prime and 1/48 VF-1J at the top of the list.

Kevin (Valkyrie-Exchange) and Joel (BigBadToyStore) both seem to confirm that the 1/48 Hikaru VF-1S is fast approaching. Kevin's site also lists the second release Roy VF-1S and Hikaru VF-1A for sometime in mid to late November. Do we have confirmation on these things? Are there known release dates I am just not aware of?

No doubt! I mean, if I had a 1/48 Monster I would maybe customize it into a golf cart. Maybe make the cannons fire golf balls, too. Or on that note, customize it into a ball tossing machine for a batting cage.

I am not convinced it is Yammie 1/60. It looks a little too short. The shoulders just aren't right. And those hands!!! Gah!!! No 1/60 TV Valk released thus far has such gargantuan manos. I mean, those things are big enough to burn diesel. I will wait for Graham to confirm. And if I am wrong, I am wrong. Ain't nothin' wrong with a little humble pie.

Yes, I will get the new Roy. My old one will become a Jetfire.

I vote Blue Roses (the really dark version I use as my desktop that is seen in Toonz's post up above) because the concept of a Limited Edition and the business of it being possible dicatates that it be a repaint of an existing toy. Now if I could have anything I wanted so long as it was VF-1 oriented I would be all over the Thunder Hummer.

Where did you guys hear that they will be re-releasing the Hikaru VF-1A and Roy VF-1S with the fixes from the Max VF-1A (and presumably the Roy re-release with be without crooked skulls, unsightly zit and head seam)? I haven't seen that anywhere until I started seeing it on here this morning. If it's true, I don't know if that makes me happy or extremely upset. I mean, having them both with the fixes is great and I would definitely jump at the opportunity. But at the same time, now I am stuck with two Valks no one else will want because there will be better variants available. On a cheaper toy I could care less, but these things go for over $100 a pop, $125 here in the States. If they do re-release them with fixes, they should have a parts exchange program or something. Fat chance of that, I know.

I think they should have one with SDFM hands and FPs and the other with DYRL hands and GBP suit. Or include both hands with both releases, but still give the option of buying it with either FP's or GBP.

You can paint a turd, but underneath all that paint it's still a turd. I gave up on customizing those things. I bought a case of 6 to play with. The very first one I tried I took apart and found so much sawing/cutting/sanding/filling to be done I flipped. I was never going to get around to actually painting that PoS (the fun part). Now they sit untouched. I thought about giving them away with Valk auctions on eBay as an added bonus.

Wow! Now that's what I call marital bliss. We should all be fortunate enough to have a wife like yours. My FP's came in the mail late last week. Unfortunately I didn't get to mess with them until last night. Yeah, I know. Usually I rip right into something new and to hell with everything else in life, but between work and really being strict with myself about working out daily I just haven't had time. Now that I have played with them... Whoa! So solid. Valks feel like they are made of solid gold now (well, maybe not THAT heavy, but if you've got them you know what I mean). Currently have Roy in battroid sporting strike cannon, Max in fighter sporting super and Hikaru in gerwalk sporting super. They all look great! Can't wait for VF-1S Hikaru to come out. Then I'll move Roy to fighter mode with strike option and have Hikaru be battroid with strike option. I am also thinking a second 1/48 VF-1S Hikaru + FP upgrades will make the best possible platform for my long proposed and never followed up on 1/48 Jetfire.
