Awesome. I need to show this to my wife. That way I can tell her, "At least I don't buy as many as that kid's dad". Then maybe she will get off my back.

Uck.. Ground station? I'm not a big fan of Hasbro's added features and we buy the toys anyway, but this one just seems to take it a bit far. I suppose they play test this stuff with kids and some study told them that toys with secondary play value must be more appealing or something. I think the ROTJ vintage shuttle is an amazing toy and it has no added features. Personally I just don't get it, but thats because I'm not 8, I guess I bought both the ARC 170 and Y-wing for my 7 year old. He doesn't play with either because they are too heavy and wieldy, especially the Y-wing I personally love both of them. The ARC 170 is a "meaty" fighter and the toy really captures the brutish and "bristly" look of the design. It displays well. The Y-wing toy is sleak and flat and doesnt display as well on a shelf, but the sculpt is almost spot-on. Its also cool because its a hero vehicle and has more screen time. As far as play-ability, the ARC 170 comes with a handle which makes it easier to hold.

The Rise Of Boba Fett TRU exclusive battle pack is marked down to $79.99 on their website. If it goes any lower, I'll have to buy it

No Beagle Blow Superior... that blows superior...
Totoro242 replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
So true. A boxed TREAD is rare indeed. There are maybe 3 or 4 known boxed TREADs. By the number of known boxed versions, you might generously guess that there are 4 times that amount in existence. That would be maybe a dozen boxed Legioss/TREAD's left in the world? The TREAD is techincally a European Lansay release anyway, and for sanity's sake, I don't collect Lansay box variations, Just N.A. and Japan -

Thanks! I still need the three Japanese 1/35 variable Legioss toys, Japanese 1/20 variable Ride Armor Stick and Bartley, Henshin Robo 1/35 variable Legioss 01H, and the Henshin Robo 1/55 variable (3-mode) 01I and 01Z. There is also a boxed 1/72 variable Legioss, but I am not sure if it is a regular release or just a European release, so I don't count that one yet -

Thanks! No one has completely documented these box variations before and hopefully when I complete the variations I can get a Gakken Data File on Toybox DX with pictures of the boxes and toys. -

Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series

Awesome. I heard a rumor that Liam Neeson recorded dialogue for Episode 2 where his ghost appeared to Anakin. Not sure if it was true or not, but it would be cool if he appeared this way to Anakin and also appeared to Yoda to show him how to turn in to a spirit (as mentioned in Episode 3).- 1217 replies

Oh man, I gotta get us one of the Obi-Wans and a Barris Offee. Very cool. I can't wait for the new Asoka and Anakin figs. Is anyone else sick of repaints yet?. It seems like almost every wave has a new one and I'm a little worried that Hasbro is inundating the line with too many of them. After our first 30 Ep 2 troopers, I just don't see us buying any more. I suppose they are going to switch to Ep 3 troopers soon, but I don't imagine buying many of those.

Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series
Totoro242 replied to BoBe-Patt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Loved the episode! Easily one of my top five favorite episodes ever. One thing kept bothering me about the Night Sister warriors while I was watching it and I couldn't put my finger on it. Then it occured to me that I had see them before: I wouldn't say its a direct rip-off, but the similarities to Zealot from Wildcats is very striking.- 1217 replies

I just saw a mini rig pack with an AT-RT and ARF with Geonosis (Landing at Point Rain) camo (yellow, pink, and red) at Wal-Mart. Pretty cool. My son was really excited. Is this what you are talking about or will there be other two-packs?
-
Why they are releasing an undead Geonosian, but not a regular one is beyond me. I would buy a battlepack with 4 or five Geonosians and Pogal in a heartbeat.

This is awesome! I have been looking for someone to post these so my son and I can play. Like Graham said, its ridiculous to re-buy 40 figures just to get these cards. Honestly, Hasbro should be doing this (posting them online) instead of expecting us to spend hundreds of dollars. Are you going to post scans of the official cards too? I have the cards for Pre Visla, Grievous, and Aura Sing and I can post those if we want to start sharing...

My son has a Turbo Tank and I would agree that its a boring toy compared to the AT TE. It has lots of room like the AT TE, but its no where near as dynamic. It is also grossly out of scale for the figures, but thats something a child hardly notices. My son never plays with his and it sits on the shelf. He really likes his Jedi fighters, gunship, and AT TE a lot more.

Very impressive! You have almost everything I know of except maybe that Macross LD game and the second Memorial box set (but of course you have all the individual disks from that set). What other vintage stuff do you collect? Posters, LP's, cards?

Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series
Totoro242 replied to BoBe-Patt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
When the Clone Wars cartoon aired, it was intended to be a canon lead-in into Episode III. At the end of the cartoon, Shaak Ti is captured by Grievous when he kidnaps Palpatine on Coruscant. This leads into the beginning of the film and her character's fate was to be resolved in the film but was cut.- 1217 replies

I would love to see them kill off Asoka. While the character has grown on me, there is an important aspect to Anakin's character development that still needs to be addressed before the series ends; and that is his transformation into a Jedi-hating Sith lord. Its time we start seeing him violating the rules, using his anger, and giving in to the dark side. Since Asoka was not in Ep. III, this is the perfect opportunity to do this. The reason I think they may do it this season is that we see her vision of her own death and we see Cad Bane possibly using her light saber. At the very least, have her destroyed physically or mentally so that she cannot continue in the Jedi order, enough to push Anakin over the edge, but not scare the kids watching the show- 1217 replies

I think the CM's are more in scale with the Shock Trooper toy than the Gakken 1/35 toys: -

Or release the scouts in three packs and shock troopers in two packs. -
Sorry to hear that. Based on what you said, it sounds like they sacrificed the story and central spirit of the previous Stargate shows for the drama and maturity (ala BSG). I can only speak for myself, but I was a loose fan of Stargate for the first 4 seasons and then the show really lost me. I tried watching Atlantis and made it throught he first half dozen episodes before it lost me again. But with Universe, the show has hooked me from the beginning. It does feel more mature, as you say, and I can connect with the characters so much better. I suppose the writers knew that they would lose some fans and gain new ones when they decided on the change. I'm sorry for the dissapointment in some of the odler fans, but alternately happy that Universe is my new favorite show.
