I see alot of people have pics of the newer models, are you going to need pics of the Bandai 1985 re-issues or original Nichimo, ARII and IMAI? I can scan a lot, but I want to make sure you already dont have them.

I think this is a tray inside the normal box.

Yamato Garland For Pre-order On Rt.com
Totoro242 replied to Cyclone's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm going to pre-order at Robotech.com even though Twin Moons has it for $2 lower. If rumors are true that HG may allow Yamato Macross toys domestically and if this helps persuade that decision, I'll be saving a hell of a lot more than $2 on 1/48 Valkyries :D -
I love that pencil board. What posters did you get?

Its like something straight out of Blake 7. I love it!

Buying stuff on HJ involves using a buying service and they dont exactly keep track of your auctions for you I always forget what I bought since I can't jump online like ebaY and see all my completed auctions and the double shipping takes over a month. I imagine thats what he means

Damn Bro!! I'd say, if a divorce is on the horizon, sell the whole collection to a buddy for $1 well ahead of time, then split that with her . You can always buy it back from him after the dust settles....... 378190 Definately nothing on the horizon She would know if I did something like that unfortunately, and I wouldn't get away with it. Its my fault for using the excuse, "but it will be worth something years from now" and," this thing is worth $75 and I got it for $10" I guess the hard part would be for her to prove what it is worth since there are no price guides for 95% of this stuff. But, its not like there is any reason for this to happen any time soon

Cool thread. I started a similar thread on Toybox DX a few months ago so I will just re-post from there. I once bought a c7 box, c10 toy Takatoku 1/55 VF1S GBP Giftpack for $300 using money that my roomate had given my wife and I for rent. I kept track of the money so she never knew when I got paid from him, so when I paid for the toy on Paypal from our checking account, I lied and said that I was buying something for a friend of mine and handed her the $350 (shipping) that was really hers too. I really had a problem then and I am not bad like that anymore. That year I was out of control and spent $7,000 on Robotech and Macross stuff. She hates my collecting and one of my worst fears is that if we were to ever divorce, she will get half of it and would sell it. That wouldn't be fun. I think she tolerates it partly because its worth something.

I would be interested in seeing which posters you got

www.zormaster.com Uh, a blurb... I don't know. My collection of Macross and Robotech/related stuff.

I will be flying in for AX and would like MW Con to be at the same time or the weekend before. I want to spend the 4th with my family so I cannot stay for the week after AX. AX is fun, but definately not going to take up all my time so I wouldn't mind spending that Sunday or Saturday doing MW related things. Edit: SDCC does not interest me so I would not be going to that.

Imperial Shuttle Millenium Falcon Rebel Blockade Runner (never bought it because of the so screwed up scale, if you can even call it that) AT-AT walker (again...wtf) Star Destroyer ( think this wasn't official retailed though). 373749 No argument, I love action fleet, but like you said, certain ones could have been properly scaled but never were, like the falcon and imperial shuttle without to much trouble. I would have killed for a properly scaled blockade runner. I wonder how large that would have been. also I always thought that a FIX dendrobium would be really kick ass. 373764 There is a Collectors Series Blockade Runner. I don't know what the scale is but its almost 2 feet long. It lights up and has sound Pretty sweet. I put an ink wash on mine and it looks tight.

I can add that its only good for parts at this point. The wings and flaps and feet are commonly missing from these toys. $15 on ebaY might be stretching it though

Best Weekend To Hold Mwcon 2006
Totoro242 replied to EXO's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
I'm coming out for Anime Expo from Denver and can attend the weekend before or after possibly. Otherwise, I can't make it. I'm not sure if very many others are planning the same.. If it was the same weekend as AX, I would 100% be there Edit: Now that I think about it, I would like the weekend before so I can spend the 4th with my family. -
Not quite. The Yamato's use grip shaped impressions in the forearms with a small peg in the middle. These use a slot in just the right forearm with a slat on the gun for holding the GU-11. Copy Yamato? Not even close. Now, did they copy Bandai's 1/72 HCM? Yes, exactly

Yes, its mine The first Macross poster I guess

Okay, I posted this on ToyboxDX also and got a translation "Macross: Showing on 25 TBS/MBS Stations Across the Country Every Sunday Starting at 2 PM!" "Produced by Mainichi Broadcasting and Tatsunoko Productions. Designed by Big West and Studio Nue." The list at right is of television stations. Thanks to Matt Alt

Its blank on the back and off the top of my head the dimensions are about 14 x 20. Not from anything, definately a poster
-
Okay, back on topic, can anyone translate this poster? It could give me clue as to its origin..

Who Else Has Contempt For Harmony Gold?
Totoro242 replied to me3's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I hate people who chew loudly. -
areaseven: Agreed. People, its a dead horse, stop beating it. jenius: Its actually official. Check out the Gakken logo on the lower right of the box. It was released in Singapore, but the logo and the odd pilots are definately not Mospeada. I'm guessing that like Henshin Robo, these were just repackaged Gakken toys for distribution is a secondary market. I really dig that Legioss Soldier image on the front

SDF TV (8/10) Awesome story, animation is spotty at times. DYRL (7.5/10) Awesome animation, story is pretty dumb FB2012 (7/10) Awesome animation, no story, good songs Mac Plus (10/10) Awesome animation, awesome story Mac 7 (7/10) Spotty animation, story drags at first Mac D7 (7.5/10) Awesome animation, okay story Mac 7 Movie (6.5/10) Animation could be better for a motion picture, story kinda boring, good songs Mac Zero (6/10) Mix of CG and cel animation poorly executed, story pretty lame. Mac 2 (6.5/10) Spotty animation, weak story Overall, I'd say Macross is 65% collecting (books, toys, posters, etc) and 35% the animation.
