  1. Basically, it's a VF-1D with the same scheme as Max's VF-1J. Hasegawa makes a 1/72 model.
  2. Although a lot of folks would say that's just more of the same thing combined, I think that'd be cool. That one never occured to me.
  3. It took me a while to put my faith in the 1/48 line. Once I did though, I sort of turned my back on the 1/60 (though I couldn't resist getting the VT-1 and VE-1). So, what's potentially left for the 1/60 line? I'm not sure how likely any of these are or whether the demand would be enough to convince Yamato to make them, but this is what I've come up with: Q-Rau Destroids GBP-1 armor (yup, it's on its way: 1:60 GBP-1 !?) TV Max VF-1A TV/DYRL Kakizaki VF-1A cannon fodder VF-1J Hikaru/Max VF-1S Cat's Eye recon plane SF-3A Lancer II Mecha from the other Macross series Thoughts?
  4. Short of a 1/48 Zentradi/Meltrandi warrior figure, I can't imagine them doing anything in that scale.

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

I wonder if that GPB comes with these:

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

I wonder if those helmets will turn up at any cosplay conventions.
  7. While the Macross Plus Valks aren't the best example of Yamato's capabilities, I think the recent releases (with fast packs) of these Valks would be your best bet.

    1:60 GBP-1 !?

This thread makes me wonder if I'd even buy a GBP in 1/60 if they released one. I'd be very tempted to hold out for one in 1/48, but then again, I might not be able to resist the temptation. I wonder if they'd release it with another VF-1J or if they'd release the armor by itself, like the 1/48 fast packs.
  9. I haven't seen the new series (Macross Zero) which is a prequel to SDF Macross, but if I'm not mistaken this low-vis VF-1 one is sort of a transition from the VF-0 seen in the new series to the VF-1s we know and love in the old Macross TV series.
  10. That D-model looks like he's leavin' a little present for the Zentradi.
  11. There are some smaller pictures in the models section, Jin, but I don't have anything better. Hasegawa Instructions
  12. I was gonna mention that too, but I didn't have a picture this good. Thanks, Mech.
  13. I certainly wouldn't buy them if they came out now. The 1Js and 1S Strike are all the fast packs I need in 1/60.
  14. That's the impression I was under.
  15. And yet more...
  16. Mmmmmmm...Hikaruey!
  17. Here is a pic of the VF-1J with TV fast packs (from Valkyrie Exchange):
  18. Jin, I haven't been able to find any references online, but if you were to spend a few bucks on a set of water soluble decals, specifically F-14 stencils like these, you'd find a pretty good reference.
  19. And some more...
  20. Here's a sample of some "different" Valk schemes. I forget who the source is, otherwise I'd give credit where credit is due.
  21. Not me, man. The low-vis is cool, but I gotta catch 'em all! I still dig the more colorful schemes.
  22. Not to burst your bubble, but those Matchbox toys might be better suited attacking your 1/60 Valks, if you have any. They were designed for 3 3/4" (Zentradi) figures, and even then they probably aren't to scale. They're a bit small for the 1/48.
  23. I never claimed to be "sure." I'm no Sith Lord, after all. Obviously it wouldn't be hard to do though, and the demand seems to be there. I think the fact that they missed him in the 1/60 line makes it more likely that we'll see it in 1/48. That detail has escaped my notice as well, though I suspect it has something to do with the optic sensor. Can anyone shed any light on the issue?
  24. I couldn't say for sure, I just put the Valks I thought had the best chance of getting made anytime soon on the list. If the enthusiasm for the 1/48 line stays at the level it is, I'm sure we'll see the "brown bull's-eye" at some point. I'm kinda surprised the Max VF-1S is gettin' no love to speak of.
