  1. He's next on my list, right along with some Alto VF-171EX super parts, which I'll probably get at the same time if I can.
  2. Thanks, I didn't even really think about it, but those three pictures do seem to flow together don't they?
  3. It actually appears to be on pretty solid this time, as it withstood some zooming around...
  4. Looking back, I think my first real introduction to Macross was Macross 2, I saw it on one of the movie channels and loved it. Then I learned about the Macross/Robotech connection to Battletech, and then Macross Plus was the first Macross production I went out of my way to watch. Ever since I've been a VF-19 fan.
  5. And featured as a background mech somewhere else in SDFM on a VF-1A (just learned that today).
  6. I was just saying I liked the idea, not that it was the gospel truth. It's probably fuel like you said, or possibly some kind of electronics suite to make up for the Super large boosters in the advance pack. You seem convinced that it's fuel, but there's conformal tanks on the legs, and the tanks on the trailing edges of the shoulders, how much fuel could those really add, and wouldn't adding extra capability like enhanced EW, or targeting for the external armament packs be a better idea? They could be multi purpose stations, with hook ups for either fuel or sensors. Fact is, the intake is now blocked, and so is the exhaust so who's really to say? I like ordnance. I'd tend to think the VF-19 advanced pack is probably scalable. You could probably do without the boosters if you need more armaments without sacrificing the stealth characteristics, or add the boosters if you're on a balls out attack run.The advance pack in general is probably a versatile set, meaning you could fit it out for numerous missions. I meant in relation to the base YF-19 style packs. So you're saying the VF-19A/B/C/D didn't have the capability of mounting internal micro-missile launchers, or that those launchers were palletized? By second mass production type do you mean the VF-19E/F/S?
  7. Does anyone know how to fix the backpack hinge on a Yamato VF-1A v1? Mine broke when I tried to transform it, and it made me sad. Even though it's kind of terrible compared to my v2 VF-1S, I'd like to have it working again. Can anyone help.
  8. I'd buy a VF-5000 or a VF-14, Instead of the VF-14 I'd rather see the enemy mechs from M7, but since Arcadia has that license, that's not going to happen.
  9. Finally! I got the right booster to lock on!
  10. More Images. These Bandai toys are fantastic, the poseability is amazing.
  11. From the album: My Collection

    Grappling!
  12. From the album: My Collection

Isamu teaching Alto the finer points of close combat...
  13. I'm also curious about the VF-19P when did it get the internal missile launcher ports? Is that a pallet modification or an airframe modification?
  14. I think we should just buy more F-16's, LM is still building them for the export market...
  15. I'd like to see matte low vis grey repaints of all the things! I'd probably buy a VF-19Advance in Low vis, even though I already have the Isamu version...
  16. Well, crap. Now I really need to find that pasche airbrush of dad's, get a longer hose and a couple water traps so I can run my compressor (I have a husky from Lowe's with a pretty sizeable tank, hence the water traps and long hose...). Sitting on my workbench right now are several boxes of Warhammer 40K models. I have no other models to paint right now...
  17. I had not. I'll have to see if I can get an angle to see it so I can connect it and hopefully get my boosters to stay put.
  18. I actually kind of like T-rex's take on the auxiliary intake covers, that they're missile pods, just because the VF-25's super parts added so many missiles, and the base YF-19 packs didn't add that much in the way of additional armaments. More missiles would definitely put the Armaments into Fuel, Armaments (I know you said Arms but this sounds better and more military), Sensor, Tactical packs. I'm just going to imagine additional Missiles, and targeting sensors for those missiles, and some enhanced EW capability.
  19. He had the look, the long bangs almost covering one eye, the silent, brooding manner (even though he wasn't brooding). He just looked that way, and you know how people are, judging people by their looks. I'm seriously considering picking one or two of these up, if I can, along with the Brera version.
  20. All the parts that we saw on the YF-19 are tricky, but workable. The boosters are another story, my right booster will not lock in place, instead it will come shooting off the wing like a missile. It's annoying, I can get it sitting close enough that I can take pictures and whatnot, but it won't hold up to handling. Other than that, the toy is solid, and while the transformation is more complex than the Yamato/Arcadia Y/VF-19's, I actually like it better since the toy is packed with detail. If you like to customize your toys by painting detail, the sheer amount of it is impressive. Internal parts, panel lines, all of the machinery that's molded in, it's a step up from what you'd expect. Though Bandai's recent DX Chogokin releases have been vast improvements over their original V1 releases (I only have the V1 VF-25F toy, and it's a sack of hammered crap compared to the Renewal and onward toys).
  21. I don't even know where to begin with mounting boosters and such on the YF-30...
