    Welp, I finally did it. Got my yetistand stuff. A Wall mount, 3 DX valk kits, 3 extra arms, and 3 elbows.

    Honestly since the UN Spacy follows US type designations, Y is not the appropriate prefix for the YF-30. Since the YF-30 is a technology testbed, it would be more accurate to call it the XF-30. This is because Y designates a pre-production prototype, while X denotes an experimental aircraft.

    I mean, I only collect DX Chogokin exclusively now. Can't afford Arcadia prices, and HMR lack the details that 1/60's have. Honestly though HMR seems my only option to collect SDFM era toys though...

    I'm really debating on getting the Kairos. I think I might just get one. Need to save money for other things. Like Ways to display the Valks I already have.

    I really wish that bandai would just do full releases, you know. The Valk plus the option parts. I'm really glad they did it that way with the VF-19 Adv.

    If I were going to do model kits, I'd probably do the ones that have toys produced by arcadia. Since I can't afford Arcadia, a VF-0S model would be perfect for my collection. I have a Yamato VF-0A, but it's seen better days... I'd also have to do the Sv-51 as well.

    I'll admit that the LillDrakens don't add much in play value, but it does seem to make the toy seem complete. Especially given that the Anime never really shows the Sv-262 without the stuff in the LillDraken add on pack. I really wish that Bandai would just bundle these things and release the whole thing as one, especially in those cases where the add on parts are seen just as much as the fighter (Like the Super Parts on the VF-25's).

    I'm a bit broke, right now, and I'm also wanting to get a couple VF-31A's and I also need to get some shelves and display options for my current collection. I also might be moving soon so that's also a thing.

    I don't know if we answered this in this thread, but how big is the Macross Elysion? In comparison to a Macross Quarter or a new Macross Class. Is the Elysion a new class of Macross?

    Is it because 18m is too tall? Because the VF-1 battroid fit quite nicely.

    I apparently missed it. Now I just need the silicone rubber that you used. I wonder if I could use RTV silicone gasket maker in a similar fashion to superglue or floor polish?

    Anyone have any suggestions as to how to tighten up the shoulders and hips of my VF-171, VF-25, and YF-29 toys?

    If I'm not mistaken the VF-1 had already been chosen and was in production around the time of the Mayan Island incident. I think that your assessment of max's rescue mission is correct. However, the overall effectiveness of the SV-52 is questionable compared to the VF-1. I'm not sure that it would have been a better craft, not to mention the size difference, the VF-1 was 8 ish meters shorter than the SV-51 (which I think is exactly the same dimensions) in fighter mode. As for capabilities, I'd have to assume that the SV-52's would be roughly on par with the VF-1.

    In many ways the VF-31 toys are better versions of the YF-30 toy. They transform very similarly (I don't own a YF-30, but I've seen the transformations enough times), I'm sure that a YF-30 "renewal" would feature many of the same improvements that the VF-31 toy used. That said, the VF-31's container is very much a part of the toy, and there is no way that it can be removed short of disassembly.

    I put together a typical carrier air wing, that would be used across the fleet's carrier craft (Macross Quarters, Battle Class Carriers, Uraga Class). Most of my picket ships (Northamptons and Guantanamos) would make greater use of Ghost fighters for BARCAP and longer ranged missions. I'd probably have my fleet's ship composition be a Slightly different from Seto's. Considering that I would make more use of the Macross Quarter Class. I'd also abandon the use of the most of the Specialized ships (Sunnyflower, Riviera, Einstein, Hollywood) in favor of using the Island-type configuration. 60x Northampton -class stealth frigate (standard type) 20x Northampton -class stealth frigate (air defense type) 10x Northampton -class stealth frigate (radar picket type) 10x Northampton -class Gefion -subclass stealth light carrier 20x stealth cruiser 40x Guantanamo -class Advanced ARMD 20x Uraga -class escort battle carrier 4x Macross Quarter -class variable space carrier 3x Battle -class space stealth attack carrier w/ 3x Island -class habitat ship 1x Three Star -class factory ship My Carriers would make use of this as my Primary Carrier Air Wing configuration 2x Fighter Squadrons (VF) of 12x VF-171-II/III's (transitioning to VF-25's) 2x Strike Fighter Squadrons (VFA) of 12x VF-19EF/A's 1x Medium Attack Squadron (VA) of 12x VA-3B's 1x Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) of 6x EVA-3B's 1x Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) of 6x RVF-171-II (transitioning to RVF-25's) Various SAR and Support Craft My picket ships, as I said, would likely trade the VF-19EF/A's for AIF-7S Ghost Fighters becoming the primary fighter squadrons, while the VF-171-II/III's or VF-25's would become the Strike Fighter Squadrons. The VF-19EF/A's would essentially take the place of Special Operations VF's. The VF-171's and VF-25's being more versatile, would perform in the role of main line fighters.

    Wasn't there also the color changing paint on the Sv-262's and the VF-31 Siegfrieds? Not totally the same as active camo from Halo, but far more realistic. Halo active Camo is not scientifically feasible (bending light around someone would have the additional effect of preventing them from seeing).

    Well, crap. I already blew my budget on getting the VF-31C and SV-262Hs. Guess I'm not gonna get a VF-31A unless there are extras somehow...

    My main force would probably consist of a mix of VF-19EF/A and VF-171-II fighters. The VF-171-II is pretty much the in-universe standard, and is far superior I would probably Augment my forces with a smattering of other, more specialized craft. My organization would probably look something like this: Carrier Air Group: 2 Squadrons of VF-171-II Fighters (VF)(Fleet Defense, 24 ships) 2 Squadrons of VF-19EF/A Fighters (VFA)(Strike Fighters, 24 ships) 1 Squadron of VA-3 Attackers (VA)(Medium Attack, 14 ships) 1 Squadron of RVF-171-II fighters (VAW)(Early Warning, 4-6 ships) 1 Squadron of VA-3 Attackers (VS)(Anti Shipping, 8 Ships) 1 Squadron of EVA-3 Attackers (VAQ)(Electronic warfare, 4-6 ships) 1 Squadron of Search and Rescue craft 1 Detachment of a larger non transformable ELINT craft 1 Detachment of Cargo craft I modeled it off of the 1992-2000 organization of US Navy Carrier Air Wings. This is of course assuming that I was requisitioning the replacements with the appropriate resources. Some of the designs are older, but I felt that this would be the most cost effective mixture of craft.

    I'm thinking of getting a couple more lego sets, and it's been a few years since I built one, any suggestions on where to start. I'm particularly interested in the Star Wars sets, almost exclusively actually.
