    The Rebuild movies are not a requirement for evangelion. Doesn't mean they aren't any good, the 1st and 2nd are up there.. the 3rd.. meh. NGE TV ep 1-26 EOE and D&R are however. Sadamato's Manga is also highly recommended.. it has a different take on some pretty big events during NGE.

    and on a lighter note.. ReZero S2 Part 2, 3 episodes in and its still doing quite well. I was worried that the 2nd season would kinda fall flat, but so far so good. I need to catch up on the Novels, but I still need to finish Goblin Slayer, and Suka Suka first.

    Finished the Strike the blood 2 OVA's, overall not as good as the first season. I can see why this was in OVA format as every episode seemed to feature one of the Heroines topless, which is creepy due to age of some of the Heroines.. the Mrs. was amused by this so.. bonus I guess? @Hikaru Ichijo SL Good to hear you finished M7. I watched it way back and it is a title I will never go back and rewatch again. Not that it was bad, but it definitely was not any good either. My 2 biggest complaints were it took something like 35+ episodes before it actually picked up, and I should have probably dropped it. The 2nd was the creep factor due to age between Mylene, Basara, and Gamlin. I think she was 13? or 14? Gamlin was 20(ish) and Basara I think was 21 or 22.. some M7 fan will correct me if I am wrong but Mylene was pretty hyper sexualized IMO and that was creepy. Obviously M7 is not the only anime to do this, but it stands out enough that I was pretty put off by it. Tame though compared to newer series.. (strike the blood 2 is a good example). It still ranks higher then Macross Delta.. which is just... no.

    I just started wrapped up Ep 3 of the Strike the Blood 2 OVAs. Kinda meh on this title, while I enjoyed the first season, so far this is pretty unremarkable. I am going to hold off for an episode or 2 on Winter 2021 titles, give myself some breathing room.

    I just wrapped up Tonikawa, Over the Moon and I have to say I enjoyed it. Nothing really outstanding about it but it was enjoyable. Also on a recommendation watched Princess Connect Re:Dive. Another title that entertained me even though it was pretty generic, kinda got a konosuba type vibe to it. and lastly Kami-sama ni Natta Hi "The day I became a god" Pass on this one. This series was a disaster, it had some funny in the beginning, but when it came time for the big reveal it completely fell on its face. It at least landed the ending, but at that point I no longer cared.

    My point still stands, DX's for MSRP.. where? Can I get a Hikky 1J TV for MSRP? (No in all seriousness? this is the only one I don't have currently) How about a Max TV 1A? Fast Packs? TV Fast Packs? Any of that near MSRP? But putting that aside.. we have a thread for DX toys.. this is not it. MW has this habit of poo-pooing on anything not Bandai.. I'm tired of it. I cared when I was younger then I grew up.. just sayin.

    Your joking right? MSRP DXs if you get in on an early preorder. I don't think I have managed that once. $200 nets you both the KC VF1 and the fast packs in comparison to $250+ for the DX VF1 and another $150-200 for the DX fast packs. I could understand this argument if they were both in the same price point.. but they are not even close. I bought in on the KC line for the SD Valks.. and then went for the 1/72 releases because they have impressed me. I have yet to see KC not address a problem when brought to their attention, both this thread and the 1.0 thread have examples of this. Anyone have any luck with Bandai?... anyone?... Buehler? I'm personally late to the DX game, and the KC 1/72s are no DXs, but they also sell for 1/2 the price. The scary thing for the Bandai Fans to admit is that KC has gotten better with each release.. so not a DX .. yet

    Pre-order is up for a Rick Hunter 1S with or without fastpacks. Assuming this is a V2 release of the Fokker 1S with some tampo changes.

    This just arrived today. Gift from the Mrs. So I could only get a quick picture before she squirreled it away for Xmas. I like the box, has a flap that opens to reveal the contents, plus it DOES come with all the accessories that the individual Voltron 84 lions had.

    Hang in there, it DOES get better.. I just wrapped up the first 2 seasons of Log Horizon. Got it on the super cheap last year around this time, and a few friends were raving about it. Maybe it's just me but meh. It started pretty good, but at some point during the 2nd season the plot decided to just fragment to the wind. It suffers from some of the same issues that Index and Railgun did.. introduces characters.. spends 30 seconds on them, then forgets them for most of the show only to bring them back and the viewer is supposed to remember who they are. The 3rd season of Log Horizon starts with Winter anime season which is just around the corner. Continuing with Higurashi, which IMO is this seasons winner, it has some differences to the older anime, but it is still hitting all the highs when it needs to.

    I am awaiting my TV Roy probably will be in my hands this week. I am also waiting on my TV Max which should also be in my hands this week. I need to get a set of TV Fastpacks still, may wait till after the holidays now to avoid the Holiday price bump I am currently seeing. Still need to find a Hikaru 1J.. now that the Mrs is onboard might as well go for broke...

    So I gave this a watch just for giggles and Sh*ts. First thing I took note of is the voice actors for Prime and Megatron trying to sound like the originals. I haven't sat down and watched transformers on TV since the 80's. It's like going back now as adult and re-watching, Voltron, or Gi Joe.. and seeing how silly it really was. Great for nostalgia but no. As for movies.. I saw the 86 movie in 1986! I never thought any of the Bay movies were even worth the time or effort, I saw the first one and bailed on the rest. I did give the Bumblebee movie a go and I thought it was enjoyable, but I wouldn't get invested in it again. With all that said War for Cybertron was OK, it honestly felt like most of the story was told to us in dialogue rather then actually happening.

    So I just recently came back from a screening of the 3rd movie of the FSN Heavens Feel Trilogy. Spring Song was IMO very well animated and continues UFO tables legacy of Fate series adaptations. However.. Yes here it comes, I do not think the adaptation to a movie format was the correct choice. I will focus on the finale here, as I would need to refresh myself on the other 2 parts, but it feels like much of the main plot is completely left on the editing room floor. I can only hope that they do right by Heavens Feel and give it a full TV Series like they have done with UBW. Full disclosure, I am 100% bias as HF route was what made the original FSN VN for me. This route stood out very clearly and even though the last time I went through it was probably close to 20 years ago there are scenes that still stand out. The ending for this movie while technically correct had some very MAJOR plot holes and loose ends to tie up. Without going into spoilers I will just point out some more glaring moments.. Shirou's fate, and Illiya's ending. Zeltrich (SP?) and ultimately Zouken's finale. Yes there is much to unpack there. Again this is just looking at Part 3.. I forgave much of the glossing over and editing of the 1st movie, and started to really pick apart the 2nd because of what was left out. For the finale, completely editing out one of the major developments and skipping past it's conclusion really soured me. Ok with that said.. still was not a terrible movie, I will be picking it up just be mindful that much was cut out for the movie format. Here is to a FULL adaptation. On the other Anime front, I started watching Tonikaku Kawaii only 4 episodes in and I am enjoying it. Nothing spectacular but the Mrs. is also enjoying it. Dan Machi Season 3 is kinda meh.. While I still enjoy the franchise, the whole formula is starting to get a little stagnant. The introduction of intelligent monsters is a plus but the characters are all really predictable at this point. Kamisama ni Natta hi is also very meh.. I keep expecting Angel Beats and instead this is just Dull. As of at least the end of Episode 7 some fairly major elements are getting hinted at. Hopefully the last 4 episodes can pull this together. If they do another Charlotte where the last 2 episodes could be a complete season I will be highly annoyed. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Gou is going great, another VN that I highly enjoyed. There are some pretty major changes in this retelling, and I am curious how they intend to wrap this up, as we seem to be deviating from some of the original elements of the Question and Answer Arcs. I honestly miss the original OP.

    Well, my Hikki 1S arrived along with 2 sets of SSP. I am eyeing other planes from this line, should probably get my hands on the Kakizaki release at some point. Probably already gonna a hit to the wallet when I do.

    Currently I am attempting to catch up on Log Horizon before the 3rd season hits Next anime season. Still watching Kamisama ni Natta Hi and I still don't know where its going and we are 8 episodes in at this point.

    And this is why I have been put off this line. I have enough expensive hobbies as it is, and a happy Mrs. is the most expensive one.. lol I FINALLY bit the bullet and picked up the Fokker 1S damn you @sqidd and your links. I also just went and got the missle set, at some point before they become unobtanium I need a strike/super set. But I really am having a hard time justifying the price points for any of this.

    I was in the same situation, got a login for CBS and started watching. I got through the 1st season and gave up. The worst part is there were no really memorable moments for me and I would be hard pressed to have something stand out.. maybe the ridiculous looks Klingon ship designs..

    I just finished Ep 3 of Kamisama ni Natta Hi. Verdict is still out on this.. too early for me to get a feel yet as to how it is going to go. But I expect an attempt at the Feels by then end as Key is so known for.

    LOL shhh, the fanboys will come running. Most of the series is a slog, it does have it's moments and does pickup towards the end. Honestly I got through it once and that was enough.

    I just watched the first episode of Kamisama ni Natta Hi. For those that don't know this is the latest Anime project from Key/Visual Arts.. (Angel Beats, Charlotte.. etc) Typical first episode, could go either way and I am seriously hoping this doesn't go down the path of ReWrite as that anime adaptation was a dumpster fire.
