  1. That series gets knocked too often by the "woke" crowd. Personally I went into it not really expecting anything other then a time waster and it ended up being pretty amusing overall. Along the same veins as Aho Girl, and the latest Kanojo mo Kanojo.
  2. Honestly I am more looking forward to see what Yoko Kanno manages to pull off, Netflix + Beloved Franchise = Dumpster Fire! This one probably won't irk me if it does bomb that much, CB was a good series overall but was never the level the Hype train of the last few years produced. I'm expecting Dumpster Fire, but hoping for the best!
  3. That is the zombie one right? The manga for that goes off the deep end. I never really could get into the anime for it. I'm pretty disappointed with another series that had much potential.. Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid. The manga for this series actually gets quite dark and is well done considering on the surface it looks like a 1 trick pony show. The Poor CG in this title really kills the anime for me, I had similar thoughts with High Score Girl.
  4. Ditto, I enjoyed this series and getting this tossed in out of nowhere was a bonus. Sitting through a rewatch of Horimiya. Enjoying my 2nd run through.
  5. To me Eva will always be the Original TV series w/D&R and EoE. The Rebuild movies looked great and the first 2 were mostly recaps with some very visually appealing battle scenes. The 3rd had such a jarring disconnect from the TV series that it lost me, much the same as it did Shinji. IMO 3.33 went too far off the rails and became something else entirely. The final movie really had to work to bring it back into Focus, I do believe it did a pretty good job of that and overall I was happy with it. If this is the final Eva animation ever produced I am happy with where it finished.. no more and no less. Again though the utter disconnect during 3.33 really jars the viewer and is probably the low point of the whole project. So between the TV series, Renewal/Rebuild movies, and the Manga... which do you prefer?
  6. Just watched the final Evangelion movie. Still abit fresh in the mind, and overall mostly positive. I have to admit I am pleased with its direction after the events of 3.33.
  7. It's too early to tell at this point. While I am enjoying it, I'm not all sold on it either. So far I am enjoying the first season more.
  8. lol, um yeah stick with it.. Nice Boat and all. I'm watching more this season then last and I am still really hard pressed to pick a winner. The only real standout is Higurashi.. Hamefura seems to have gone from all route lead to doom, to all routes lead to marriage. On the flip side the real stinker of this season is the Cheat isekai pharmacy blah blah blah one. My group is still screening it, but it took only 1 instance of the stupid dance song sequence while he was making something for me to flat out drop it.
  9. Is this a joke? @Blackaces If it is... bad form. If not, then I'm done with Calibre Wings. I'm not interested in patronizing a company who openly attacks its customers.. and then comes on MW to gloat about it. Damn shame, I enjoyed your product.
  10. Got a 2 package surprise today, VF-84 Jolly Rogers F-14 Calibre Wings, and the Bandai VF-1D DX. Been awhile since I posted here..
  11. My Bandai DX VF-1D just showed up from AE. The TV Super Armor is looking sexy on it. Might need me to locate another set in the near future.
  12. Honestly, I would. If I bought something that was collector in nature and it came wrecked I would not hesitate. I personally have not ordered directly from Calibre Wings, All of my orders were via Flying Mule and they box their items very well. Just yesterday my VF-84 F-14 arrived and though delayed was in excellent shape. Excellent price on the M&M though, I too would go for it if I didn't already have it.
  13. I figured I would give this a go as this appears to be the topic of the hour. Honestly He-Man was never really a big deal to me back in the 80's it was more like just a filler cartoon between the things I was into. Looking back on them now He-Man like other shows from the 80s were pure cheese, but more on this in a bit. Having watched all of it, I was kinda just like MEH. I agree that they should have just called this series Teela and been done with it. Much the same as the Voltron reboot should have been called Paladins because of the utter lack of the title character. As mention previously the first episode was what I expected, had it carried that I probably would have had a better time with this. Back on the 80's cheese.. ALMOST every reboot has been utter garbage, and while I don't think this is quite Dumpster Fire material I can see why people are upset with it. honestly I see fans more upset that they were lied to about the finished product more then anything else. I find it dubious that anything like this would be popular with the Zoomer crowd, as this was directly marketed towards the 80s kids crowd. TLDR.. MEH it's about what I expect from hollywood anymore.
  14. Well that means they started shipping these things... hopefully mine is on its way.. the Mrs is gonna be thrilled...
  15. Looks promising. Not a must have IMO, but I'm game.
  16. Just playing catchup having been OL for abit. This must have arrived around the week of 7/4 finally got around to opening it up, and I like it. This might be my favorite of the figures released so far.
  17. Finished Odd Taxi and I was pleasantly surprised. Probably the breakout of this past season. Also sat through a viewing session of 86 last night. Overall not bad, but not great either. I need to catch the ending but that won't be until later this month.
  18. As this season is pretty much over I'll update what I covered so far. Megalo Box 2.. dropped, lost interest. Hige o Soru. Soshite Joshikousei o Hirou.. I think this series tried for too much drama and emotional impact, but not enough time to build the viewer on it. I think the mother, and the interactions at what was supposed to be a climax could best be described as "The ending for lack of a better term was a cuck" as quoted from my anime watching group. Ijiranaide Nagatoro-san.. I think this series suicided during the first few episodes, ultimately the latter episodes did kind well to balance it out but overall still a bad adaptation of the source material. Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu Omega.. no change to what I said previously Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka.. Spider parts are enjoyable. Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai LoveCome... I think this is the only series still going, luckily for me I will miss the finale. Waste of time. Slime Taoshite 300-nen Shiranai Uchi ni Level Max ni Nattemashita.. Vanilla.. with a dash of Yuri if your into that thing. SSSS.Dynazenon.... Well the links to Gridman are clearly evident. I didn't like it, and I didn't dislike it. I would watch more if they do more, if that counts for anything. Zombie Land Saga Revenge.. As I said earlier the high point of an otherwise meh anime season. I did not expect much but it performed better then expected, surprising as I could care less about any Idol shows. Bonus content... I just started watching Odd Taxi because the same anime group refuses to shut up about it. I am about 6 episodes in currently. I can see why people got into it, once you get over the whole "Richard Scarry" books thing it has going on. It's managed to keep my interest to the point where I can watch multiple episodes in a sitting and that speaks volumes for this season. Lets hope it can stick the ending.
  19. @David Hingtgen First guess would also be the power supply. Typically the culprit of most overall weird shenanigans with a PC. I would get a meter out and test voltages.. however it wont test load, You can build something to do that, but Voltages usually give it away. 2nd.. for the switch, what type? Again if you suspect the switch attach a lead from a multimeter to each end and test for continuity. You might also get lucky and spray some electrical contact cleaner in there and it resolves itself... if the switch if flaky.
  20. Demon Slayer was one of the few "popular" anime titles I actually enjoyed watching. I still haven't seen the movie, was out in theaters but all the restrictions they had in place soured me of that option. This season, my standout title was Zombieland Saga Revenge. I ended up enjoying that way more then I should have. Another surprise for me was Slime Diaries as I enjoyed the laid back vibe it gave off. I still haven't gotten very far is S2 of Slime as it just turned me off.
  21. I've been happy with these releases, I think the only one I did not end up getting was the unpainted release, probably cause there are only 12 of them. As for Macross Frontier.. meh, the same with Delta. I would not rule it out, but not my thing.
  22. no kidding! I am not even a big fan of Mac 7, but these look good I'll bite. ended up going the amiami route.
  23. Has there been any word on the smaller 1/12 cockpit releases? Been a little while since they asked for payment, I figured it would have released by now.
