Macross model kits at ILM (Industrial Light & Magic)
Shawn replied to Shawn's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Wow! Never knew that!! Thanks! http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Constellation_class_model https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/alt.sf.scale-models/MelRLsuLsYk https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/alt.sf.scale-models/haAq3eT6Bms -
I remember browsing this book 10 years ago and making a mental note to scan this pic to show...well I found the book in a box tonight, so better late than never! From this book https://www.amazon.com/Industrial-Light-Magic-Special-Effects/dp/0345322630 In their model shop (this pic for Goonies, so late 84/early 85) we've got Macross kits available for their kit-bashing on their supply shelves! I love the idea that a piece of the SDF-1 or a Regult is glued to some prop somewhere! Anyways thought you'd enjoy! I've identified a couple so far... Shawn

Yep-that pic (my favorite ever) is from the Sky Angels book, although they did it in B&W. MAT is even in the credits for the LD game

There are a handful more, just odd cross-breed pictures, like a Lobster-Bull. Don't ask, will grab a screenshot of it soon. S

Found some very old screen captures I did of the Laser Disc, thought it would be cool to share! Shawn more... more...

Please keep the updates a comin'! I just can't believe what talent and a 3D printer can achieve these days. Nothing is out of reach. Awesome project!!!

Still 2 copies of those documents http://www.ebay.com/itm/MACROSS-II-2-Production-Scripts-Notes-Anime-RARITY-Kevin-Seymour-/262298629626 Was fantastic to finally hear that potential movie story line. Incredible how so much was used in 7 and Frontier, and maybe even Delta. Would love to see someone create a comic or something with this story. When reading it I could play it all out in my mind. Many, many thanks to the SpeakerPODcast for covering this story, my drive to work these last couple days has been very entertaining!!

A 30 year Takatoku Macross Toy Quest….is Finally Over!
Shawn replied to jvmacross's topic in Collectors
I wonder how many people in the world can say they have a COMPLETE Macross Takatoku set...that is just crazy what you've done over the years! We'll need to give you an entire section on the main site for your collection! Congrats again! That takes a lot of patience and motivation. -
Yahoo!!

I like the idea of the hangar where you could walk around some valkyries, but that sounds like a lot of work! Walking around the dyrl city would be pretty cool, like the concert hall or humburger popo. Would leave a little creative license for you to fill in the blanks. I have the 1st dev kit-are you make it for v1 or v2?

They have a link to another build up too! Click on each of the 13 title entries for more details. http://dog1958.blog89.fc2.com/blog-category-13.html S

Agree-wish the pics where larger too! I love how they cherry-pick the best parts of the Club-M and the Hasegawa 1/48...truly an incredible hybrid.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but at the MWCon this year, Tenjin was very impressed with the one that was on display. He said he wanted one!
