  1. Ok, are any of us this bad? Jump to 8:00 and watch for a minute for the reveal and this one around 9:00
  2. Just noticed on that matchbox super armor, that the boosters have that same little angle change on the front/top of the missile pod that the takatoku super armor has Has anyone done a side by side of the 2 armor pieces? How similar are they? Wonder about the panel lines too...
  3. Nice! Have you tried building any of the VFG kits? What is the skill level needed for those vs the regular Delta kits? Are they difficult (meaning insanely small parts like the Hasegawa 1/72s vf-1s which are just frustrating)? S
  4. Might I raise the ante on the Takatoku Henkeis with the Takatoku Chrome/Gold variants? With the head laser landing gear?
  5. Here is another reference (from the document of macross) and a closeup of it from the arii vf-1d gerwalk kit which the toy is based on. Google translate says something like "Battroid head variation. The head of the D type was the one before it was changed in the final draft, but it was distributed with the X attached only there at the scene." I NEVER knew about the vf-1d/c head on this kit...I always thought it was just a cruddy sculpt...but the head is distinctly different than the battroid kit and official final art Great find, thanks for sharing this!
  6. He did do a 1/3000 SDF-1 if it helps
  7. For what its worth, I had a shipment go out March 28th via EMS...it got caught in the shipping block, but just arrived today, so for a smaller size box 12x12x6 it took one month. S
  8. Honestly that cel shaded 1/48 really hurts my brain...my eyes can't quite resolve exactly what I'm looking at, but it is there in real life...but it isn't at the same time. Incredible work, I would love to see that in person! Looking at their channel the 1/3000 SDF-1 is mind blowing, the yf-19 looks like CGI, and the Jetfire..LOL! Skill level off the charts.
  9. For you long timers (about 18-19 years ago)....we tried MW Live Chat on the old forums (2001-2003) LOL...I was a renegade back then! I completely support any Macross efforts like this-we are a small community that should always be looking out for each other and sticking together. Newer fans like newer technology and someone should try something like that. That is reminiscent of how Exo took Macross fans to Facebook and started his own thing there. For me (real old school) I like the lazy reading and lazy scrolling and more importantly the never ending history of pictures and messages that get posted here. If I'm away for a week I can always catch up on new things on my own pace. Old man Shawn
  10. more pics of those kneelers here http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/wf/vf1.htm Hey..anyone collect the model paints?? Anybody help a brother out with a #12?? LOL
  11. I've never seen so many 1/48s in my life in this thread...just jaw dropping amazing collections here!! Found this pic from 2002( I think) from the old MW forums...the 1/48 in exploded mode! (not my pic) Thought it was pretty amazing how many parts they have in these things!
  12. Never mind, locking this thread. We are all overly stressed with what is going on in our personal lives, I'm not enabling any more aggressive discussion with each other here.
  13. Thanks for that info! I could only imagine having the store owner being so nice that they gave you that box! OMG. I had a similar Hobby Store here in San Diego, called Models/Military Emporium, except that the owner scared the hell out of me. His store was really awesome, had all sorts of military models and figures and whatnot, and WAAAAY in the back he had the Japanese kits. I would save my lunch money and play skip school at lunch time and go grab Macross models. And every time I headed to the counter with my latest kit he had a built in scary scowl. LOL. I would have fell over dead from shock if he handed me a Nichimo Display Case!! Model-Junkie- Wow-100+ models is incredible! I can't remember, but what is the difference between the ones you had and the event release versions? Drawing a blank! https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/l491039136 Shawn
  14. Delta-One-One....OMG where did YOU find that Nichimo box!!?? I lost an auction for that 12 something years ago for over $500 Then I lost another BLACK variant of that box for over $750....I guess I just need to have $1000 lying around to actually win one! Someone here in the forums had a blue, but by the time I saw the post it was too late. The only other Nichimo box I've seen is the pink prize box.
  15. And for the completest collectors, look for #1 and #2 box variations...the early release had a plunger 'sticker' on the box before they integrated it into the box art itself (later and all the rest) p.s. I really want that Zentradi Stamp promo poster jvmacross! ha
  16. HEY! I just noticed that Nichimo stamp promo poster! NICE! I've never seen that before!! Woah. Where did you find that!!?? (I love seeing new things for the first time after all these years)
  17. I love that poster!!! Thanks for posting it! I'll raise you an almost intact Nichimo Iron-On mail in kit!
  18. This poster would make a fantastic backdrop for the bandaxi dx valks me thinks! https://www.picuki.com/media/2222555457619604014 Lots of his other works (just freaking amazing) https://www.picuki.com/profile/rodrigobarrazaaviationprofiles
  19. The NICHIMO! These are some of my favorite kits ever. Love the box art the most. I 'believe' this is all of 'em that were actually released. There are pics on the sides of some of the 3 pack sets of others, but I've not yet seen them in the wild over the years. If you have holler!
  20. OK, hold your horses here....take it to PM for the politcal differences please, or just anywhere else please. We are trying to be a relaxing diversion from the complicated parts of life. Thanks S
  21. My stupid theory is that those pre-production back pack missile sets were just not aero enough for the jets, so he scrapped them and had them moved to the pods designs
  22. Fast Pack set on YJA (April)...buy it now for $100...but if you read the comment on the auction, it made me laugh!!! https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r392226159 柿崎機の尾翼を見て、集める気が無くなりました。 あらかじめ注文していた本品が再来週に届いてしまいます。 キャンセルできないので、ここで処分します。 translated (machine) I saw the tail wing of Kakizaki machine, and I lost my mind to collect it. This item you ordered in advance will arrive again next week. I can't cancel it, so I'll dispose of it here.
  23. https://www.picuki.com/profile/rodrigobarrazaaviationprofiles he has been doing new work,...the yf-19 is amazing, wow
  24. I love a good conspiracy story and I I think I'd like to believe that Bandai bit the big one and hosed up the 100 on the VF-1S tail fin. And to prevent every valk being returned as defective or having to issue a billion right tail fins for people to replace, they doubled down on the aesthetic angle and burned the Kakizaki too. Then offered up the decal set for the 'purists'. Heck, protos that floated around in magazines, and their own promo literature had 001 on the tail fin (and I assume the one samples they send to Kawamori for his standard 'approval' all said 001 or he would have caught that too). I do think it is a very easy mistake for someone to make with all these individual parts not knowing which part is up or down, heck promo shot even one had 100 on the right ventral fin. Someone loaded the tampo machine backwards for that single stamp and as from Goodfellas... No, we had a problem... and uh, we tried to do everything we could. What d'you mean? Well, you know what I mean. Its done, and we couldn't do nothing about it. :P
