  1. Check out this on sale at Yahoo Japan http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g77645301 the pic page: http://photos.yahoo.co.jp/ph/horton1485/ls...jp/&.view=t Wow Shawn
  2. I tried getting that Macross innertube, but was outbid. It got up to $50! The buyer was a hardcore innertube collector, so I didn't stand a chance (not kidding-all their previous wins were innertubes) I did win the big Macross themed raft, and even hung it on the back wall at our MWCon. Got a few questions along the lines of "what the heck?"-was pretty funny. Currently trying to get that beachball on yahoo that ends tonight-hopefully for under $15. Its different than the other one I have. No idea why all these Macross themed beach accessories have hit the market in the last 2 years-but as you know its fun finding the strange items. The chase is almost more fun than the capture. Still regret missing out on the destroid lamp shade from a while ago-haven't seen that thing come back around. Shawn
  3. Just got back from christmas vacation and am beat. Created the Collectors area-its in the think tank Should all talk about macross products (except toys, models, and games) go there? What about dvds and such-they are currently in the series section. We just need to identify clear lines of demarcation so there is no confusion where to post something Let me know what you think! Shawn
  4. This forum is to discuss anything about Macross Collecting We have dedicated forums for Toys, Models, and Games, so this is the catchall for everything else. Cels, posters, books, you name it! Now I finally have a place to discuss my Macross beachball and chopsticks! Shawn
  5. http://page2.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b89685758 Buy it Now for 38,000 yen That is actually a pretty decent price for something so rare S
  6. http://openuser.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/us...=0jp&mode=1 I'm absolutely stunned at the collection of cels for sale here If I was a collector, this is what I'd want. Amazing!!! Shawn
  7. I've had the same login session with IE, Firefox and Opera for about 4 days now on 3 different machines trying to determine the problem 2 of those machines had the old forums cookie, which I cleared. Its very hard to find the problem when it works for some and not others. If you have problems, please keep posting so we can see any type of patterns Thanks! Shawn
  8. I absolutely love that idea. Thing was, I didn't know there WAS much interest other than toys and models. Most collectors don't really go outside of that boundary. Posters perhaps, but that would be the extent. Who else collects Macross dishtowels, shoes, swimming innnertubes, and chopsticks? (I do!). Everytime I display such oddities at MW Con I always get the-"Uhmm, very cool Shawn", and then the crook eye and raised eyebrow questioning my sanity. The new site format incorparates all these items, but there isn't any place to discuss. Would you fold it into one of the other areas (Macross Broadcasting System,OverTechnology Think Tank) or would it be its own entity? Would there be subtopics or just one big area? (records, posters,...) Would there be a wanted section there too? (missing card AL-43 to AL-47...please help) Shawn
  9. glad we were able to resolve! S
  10. Sorry, thought you meant the forums (posts), not the Gallery. I've made an adjustment, please try again and let me know if it worked. S

  14. 9 years and still running! OK-the main page is 'slightly' (cough cough) outdated, but the forums are kicking and screaming as always. Over the next year the main site is undergoing a thorough make-over for our 10th anniversary. We wanted to give our thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years. Old schoolers who stuck with us through the very rough times (Invader Zim, forum upgrades, server outages) New members who are only now getting introduced to the show (Frontier rocks!-thank you for breathing new life into the franchise) And of course the mods, who keep this place from shaking its bolts out every day(all volunteers who I wish we could pay, its a painful thankless job) Without all of you, our community wouldn't be what it is today. Thank you for everything!! Shawn & Graham
  15. Due to some problems with corruption on our main server drive, we'll be re-imaging the server over Thanksgiving. We'll be taking down the main site and forums sometime on Wednesday November 26th, with expectations to be back up Sunday, November 30th. Please make sure if you have anything for sale, or are in the middle of some PMs, you have an alternate contact method for a couple days. Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving holiday! Best, Shawn & Graham

  17. I've been looking to implement a CMS for sometime now, but the ones I've found are Blog based (scroll down , then go to page 2, repeat), or e-commerce based (closer to what we need, but I do not want an "add to cart" option when browsing Imai model kits..) If you have any suggestions as to a CMS for a reference site, please le tme know and I'll try it out. The fact the the entire site is hardcoded html really makes any sort of updates a real pain in the 1999 based arse. Shawn
  18. Graham was able to get his hands on the new Yamato 1/60 VF-1 See the full review here! http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/V...-1S_review.html Shawn
  19. Uhmmmmm, YES? Did some drive maintenance last night, and then promptly went to bed. Woke up this morning and said "OOOPS! Forgot to turn the site back on" Shawn
  20. Go here: http://aucfan.com/search1?x=42&y=11&am...%a5%b9&o=p2 At the top is the link that takes you here: http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n60426051 I'm just amazed. That is a lot of money for any drawing-even a Mikimoto one! Wonder what other items the winner has in their collection. But on the other hand, if I had $1000, I would have been all over this one http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h63766313 Nice! Shawn
