old ref but here you go https://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/series_pm.htm The prices on the legacy site are very very very old and not to be used anymore-this book could be had now for about $40-$50 There was a bootleg in the early 2000s-I think something about the color on the cover-it if was shiny or matte or gray or something was the key But even if you get the bootleg, it was excellent quality I thought, so you wouldn't go wrong either way. Again they made a million of the things, it is not considered a rare collectors item anymore with the rise of the internet. So find one and just enjoy it! examples of some recently sold on Yahoo Japan Auctions https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/closedsearch/closedsearch?p=マクロス+パーフェクト+メモリー&va=マクロス+パーフェクト+メモリー&b=1&n=100

Really... you post a 'I got mine' and thats it? How about a couple pics inside, jeez! To think you are a co-founder of MacrossWorld, hmmph.

Since they proved they can do missile inclusions with the upcoming Store-Only release VF-1J, I feel they missed their chance to include chrome plated missiles on the 50th, that would have been cool. Maybe it had to do with plating perhaps being worn off during attachment/detachment.

Shawn replied to sh9000's topic in Movies and TV Series
No I don't recall that information before(yf21 magic warps legs) but that could explain away a lot of anime magic for the yf21...legs torso etc etc That is pretty cool!- 222 replies

I think they should consider retiring this prototype and create another for the shows, it has has seen some pretty severe battle action. I suspect it was on the clear stand behind it and broke.

This possibly looks like the box, maybe. https://x.com/rakugakisakka/status/1851233854150811693 it also looks like it might might might be shipped in battroid mode? (like he taka 1/55)

I get that the inside very convex leg panels pops/slides in to make room for the arms in fighter mode yet in the official promo pic, one leg panel is seemingly fully deployed (picture left), while the other is pushed in(picture right) Or am I totally misunderstanding what I am seeing? This is sort of like my 'look for the backwards missiles' on the other toy, for this one I've always been looking at the leg panels

If only you would have brought your DX VT-1 to zoom around in the pic!

That is a crazy crazy amount of artwork, did you do those all freehand or use anything as a template? Nice work Which one is this? Reminds me a bit like a head from a Legioss or Sparta.

Nope it wasn't me, curious if it was a proxy buyer and we might see it in more detail later.

As clay figures, I wonder how any of them would survive the trip overseas

Yeah-those V1s are getting in pretty rough condition these last few years. All of mine have yellowed despite zero exposure to the sun. I've not actually tried taking one out of the box in a decade plus, but if the plastic is turning brittle, maybe its best I don't try. Maybe these will become rare and valuable a bit more into the future just because there will be few intact non-yellowed examples. Sorry to hear about your experience, and a costly one at that. I've seen many affordable arcadia v2s in the For Sale section here well under the $200 range, so keep your eyes peeled. I'll personally be listing a non-boxed Premium edition VF-1S Hikaru soon at a decent price very soon as well (part of my annual ritual is to sell off stuff I get off of Yahoo Japan to fund the yearly server costs, but with the absence of SDCon this year it will all be online this year)

My initial thoughts right now is that this is a prototype or anything, just curious on what appears to be a recast tailfin/backpack, which isn't the norm for most customizers who just do repaints. At least in the pictures it doesn't LOOK painted. But it we see bubbles in the back of the head for on the VF-1D head, then perhaps the backpack was recast in resin. Until proven otherwise its assume a good custom, not to start off any rumors. Unfortunately that Takatoku 1/55 VF-1D was just an example of how you could customize your valkyrie yourself, that one pictured in the ads and catalogs was not representative of a prototype or anything. It was frequently shown with that light blue variant and black variant as well.
