    Damn, you guys are really getting me down with all the 'robocrap' talk and what not. If you don't want to buy it fine, but try to stop all the echo-chamber negativity. Damn. Not sure what you are all seeing, but I definitely see an improvement in picture quality and not just cranking up the brightness and sharpening. While I'll hold out for a possible Japanese language set with english subs, I'm also able to recognize that this picture looks really good. Definitely interested in the source material they were able to get for this.

    Stupid thought, but thought I would share my madness here a bit So this auction was around for quite a while...just a simple Hasegawa VE-1...they listed it with the box art upside down. From this angle I thought 'that sure looks like a Zeta Gundam Wave Rider and then went ...huh' Then this showed up, mis-transformed, and I went 'huh' again. Like I said...stupid thoughts!

(Movie was released 1985) And in the front, are some VF-1 Shoulders Both I am thinking from the 1/144 Imai kit, will need to check!

    That Animage event sounds incredible. I did NOT know those mini posters were meant for TRAINS at the time, wow! I for sure do not have all 5 of them though...I did not know there were that many, Gotta find the missing ones! I'd also really like to know what exact DYRL poster was thought lost in a fire, and for what fan group it was reprinted for. (at 2:07:00) Is that why I see so many of the DYRL movie posters on YJ lately? Are those reprints?

    I finally got my first 1/20,..in transit now. Got it from the generic Yahoo Shopping site. Condition 'used' ($168) but everything intact. Domestic shipping to the proxy was free so saved some money there too. Fedex air shipping was $51 from the proxy to California which seems like a good deal for dipping my toes into the large scale. Also got the missile set for $66, but that is shipping separately, because if I combined the two, I would be in Strike Fighter shipping territory...ouch!

    I always tried to use that as my reasoning for the oddness in the painting (what else could it be thinking logically), but the prometheus and daedalus are also just hanging back without any real support...and they are much much heavier than a hollow cannon. but then again, if takani painted those hanging straight down too to alleviate joint stress due to gravity we'd see all the destroids bulging against the daedalus front door and valkyries falling out the flight elevators strewn across the landscape...or maybe that already happened and that is why the valkyries are flying up from the ground as they fell out of the nest.
