  1. love this original box art on this, wow! Don't recall this angle before
  2. Found some more amazing kits from this youtube user https://www.youtube.com/@rebirthtv7460 I think this is the Takatoku Henkei SDF-1 toy converted to an assemble yourself model? Misc others And another Takatoku 1/100 another Nichimo Defender, so cool
  3. another box variant of the Nichimo boot-same one above-jump to 8:40 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlXM3U6rK9Q
  4. I think I'll say definitely stick with Nichimo with that comparison above. The Morinaga Gerwalk is very different (your pic, thanks! ha)

    Macross Books

I would probably say yes, since we see the Yamato being blown up at the bottom of that rough sketch, and that was from Daicon 3 which he animated.

    Macross Books

A few years ago there was a Hideaki Anno Exhibition, and there was an art book release. Finally found one for a good price, so picked it up Has some great pictures throughout his history, included 3 pages of Macross stuff. If you like this art, and who wouldn't, its great. Also-it is THICK.
  7. I wish I knew where to find those! They took the Nichimo kits as the base and adjusted them so they don't need the center screw that holds them together Bootleg on left, original on right
  8. That looks like a copy of the Nichimo 1/200 VF-1J Gerwalk kit, nice. I think I'd ignore the Takatoku Toys logo on the bottom of the bootleg Macross kit with Bandai 1/72 box art and 1/55 inspired sunset picture with the 3 type change text and vf-1s super label LOL I wonder what else they packaged into that generic box design. I dig it!
  9. oh...you know what would be extra fun...if on each box they had which STORE it was the limited edition in...so you'd need to buy 2 of them to be complete. ha! * You can only choose one store to receive your lottery entry: either "TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO" or "TAMASHII SPOT OSAKA." You cannot apply to both stores at the same time. That would be truly evil
  10. Just read this in the terms for the SLE. So you have to pick it up in person, and each lottery win is limited to one valk (or other special) So that alone has to help the collectability of this thing right? https://club.tamashii.jp/topics/tnstokyo_items_241031.php ・There are no plans for product delivery. Please apply only if you can come to the store during the purchase period. ・Each person may enter the lottery for one of each product.
  11. The 50th is now selling consistently at around 32000($215 USD), where the original price was 33000 (with tax), so those sellers are potentially taking a slight loss. I think there was a limit of 6 per person online, thus the recent drop and market glut. The appeal (chrome finish) for this one isn't for everyone. The Store Limited Edition (SLE?) one is 22000 ($150 USD) after tax, but I've not seen the details on the lottery allowances, meaning could you get 6 like before? If you could buy 6, then yes I agree the price in a few months should definitely drop lower than the current 29000 ish price and float in the low 22000 ish range, which is a great price for a DX VF-1. Especially if you can also pick up the DX GBP armor for $70. But if it is a true limited release, then who really knows. Most collectors already have the original, and if it is exactly like the original other than the missiles, its probably only going to appeal to the more hardcore collectors who need at least 1 of everything.
  12. ok ok I'll give you those 2 ONLY! Then NEXT!
  13. So this would make original VF-1J GBP VF-1J 50th Chrome VF-1J Store Special Vf-1J I don't think we can take any more VF-1Js ....NEXT!
  14. They are appearing online for sale now (but not released until the 15th). Looks like 30k is the average opening salvo for resellers, which comes to about $200 US.
  15. the manual is now online, nothing special. I want to see if its darker like the Takatoku 1/55 Gray, or if its lighter as in some of the more recent pics. https://tamashiiweb.com/images/item/item_0000015096_StkjfnYa_300.pdf
  16. I'm not completely sure its open to the general public at the Tamashi Nations store (the vf-1j store exclusive) Google translate makes this seem like its a lottery you entered last week, find the results if you won or not tomorrow, then pick up on the 15th. I THINK https://club.tamashii.jp/topics/tnstokyo_items_241031.php
  17. Its a 1/5000 kit but post says 1/3000 and Box says 1/5000 and 1/8000 jeez keep up already
  18. Its a knock off of the Arii 1/5000 kit for the casual readers, not cast in the original light blue-gray, but in a deep blue and white, which is pretty neat. I like how they removed the copyright bigwest text on the bottom right of the instruction sheet, because you know, its a KNOCK OFF
  19. Most definitely do not have this kit. Where did you find it? Are there any others? Need more info please. Shawn
  20. yeah-check out the middle of part 3 https://www.macrossworld.com/the-gtc-legacy-project-part-6-3-mw-visits-ny/ its like a giant 15x25 foot tall room full
  21. I need to check in again with them and see how far they got into that 2nd warehouse filled to the roof.

    1/55's revisited

Sorry for any confusion-was just trying to say that the vf-1s from that packaging were lifted from the 1985 Bandai(Imai) 1/72 model kit For the 1985 Release Bandai didn't use the old Imai Takani artwork, they found some new artists, but the kits were the same.
  23. Can I just say, I hate the YF-21 transformation. Its been in battroid mode since the release, and today thought I'd go to fighter Unless all the special steps are fresh in your memory you are hosed. I'd use a youtube saver to save off all of @genius's videos, put them on a thumb drive and stick them in the box for future generations to know what the hell you need to do. Many of the panels are just slightly askew, even after multiple multiple 'back it out again and try again' steps. Still missing one of the folder booster mount plugins, so glad those can pop out and get lost. Only do any transformation on a clean taught white sheet. For something this complicated I'd consider more a parts former, or at least have things that can be detached-like the leg covers. That is my old man vent for tonight, its in fighter mode and I doubt it will ever get out of that whilst in my possession. Looks great, feels hefty, transformation horrible. I'd say its a tie between this and the DX SV-262, which I thought nothing could ever top in complexity and frustration.

    1/55's revisited

yes-that is the most bleed through/poor paint distribution I've yet seen on the strikes, nice find!

    1/55's revisited

And the back pic is lifted from the 1985 Bandai 1/72 VF-1S Variable kit (Imai Reissue)
