  1. I too hope they are just delaying the YF-21 a bit so they can do one HUGE international release soon. But fans have been champing at the bit...have you seen Yamato YF-21 prices lately? There is pent-up demand.
  2. That mercari link should have the poster to them in 3-5 days, then you can do the intl shippping DHL/EMS for another 3-5 days...just within your 2 week turn around if you stay on top of them for shipment. You just missed out on an auction from a couple months ago that had a bunch of cool plus posters https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k1005237792 It would have been cool to see a real sig next on this one, although maybe it would be confusing BUT you could tell if it was legit by seeing if it matched LOL
  3. Maybe I should adjust the site logo
  4. ditto for 3 theaters near me...will be at one of them!
  5. Damn!!! Great job on that build. Wow! Have you thought about building the Arii or Imai 1/8000 SDF-1 kit for a complentary piece? I had NO idea you could straighten out the kit by boiling it LOL
  6. Just browsing some Macross auctions, and this picture just stood out tonight. Just take a long second and really look at the size of those UUM-7 "micro missiles" box mounts. Those missile boxes are the size of a freaking 4-door sedan...and there can be 4 under the wings. Imagine standing next to one of those. Maybe someone could make one of those out of styofoam/cardboard for the next sdcon, would be funny to see it in 1-1 scale
  7. Had to do a FW update on the server controller board...so we were down for a bit, but all good now! S
  8. Drawing a bit of a blank, so suspect whatever it must have got away!
  9. yah...that one is me. It is a bit rough on the top.
  10. Collecting the entire 16 kits could take another 40 years to complete LOL...they just don't show up. I can add in a couple items to the mix....not choco-kits but Morinaga related Chocolate bar wrappers, a series 1 box variant, gift bag, some mail-in prize backgrounds, and the gift shipping box.
  11. Anyone take their GBP Takani fists and put them on a non-armored valk and recreate the 'hands a bit mis-scaled' old 1/100 Arii kits/toys? If so I missed it-point the way (my box is tucked away already)
  12. Did update, let me know if you encounter issues S
  13. blah
  14. I too went in 'cold' never having read the book, or watched the original 84 film. For some reason Dune just never sparked any interest and I've been flippng past all the Dune articles in the old sci-fi magazines and whatnot for almost 40 years. I heard there giant sandworms and that Sting was in it and it had the twin peaks guy. Watched the new Dune on HBO Max last night and was very impressed. Story started out confusing (all the family names and whatnot-I easily got lost in the GOT type houses), but once it settled in a bit I was able to follow it. Towrards the end I was wondering how in the heck are they going to wrap up this story, so I paused it with 20m left and noticed the title said 'part 1'. When it ended I had the same feeling I had when I saw the first Lord of the Rings movie...I definitely wanted to see how it all played out next! Also, the movie looks incredible (watched at night on a 65 OLED and it was just wow!) I would definiitely recommend it (new Dune) to the newbies-if I could follow it and enjoy it anyone could (not just prior Dune fans) After it ended I immedietely felt regret at not having given it (the original movie) a chance before, so looked and watched the original 84 right after! It was quite a different experience. I could tell they were trying to fit in so much source material into a very small time window, the movie deserved to be 2x longer at least. If it was not for just having seen the new Dune, I would have been completely lost in the 84 version...I know that because I was able to follow what was going on in the first half of the 84 movie, but once I was in new territory things started jumping around quickly and I got lost. I saw some great concepts that I hope to be played out SLOWER in the part 2 new version whenever it is released. The 84 version definitely had some strange concepts (the cat/navigators!?) but I appreciated the freshness of it. I was amazed how big of a world they created for such a relatively small budget. I definitely respect what they were trying to do.
  15. Need to go through some of the books and see if there are any more signed examples of her work.

  18. I can't believe it took me almost 40 years to figure out the connection. I've always asked around but no one seemed to know who the artist was. I've especially loved this illustration. Just awesome talent.
  19. I was not able to make the connection until today, but his wife was an artist under the name "L. Cat." His wife was a coterie writer who was active under the name of "L.CAt.", And also serialized the illustration novel "Advanced Apprasus" in the magazine "COMIC NOIZY" (1988-1989) under the joint name of Miyatake. be. I've ALWAYS wondered who this talented artist was, I absolutely loved her work!!! I'm simply blown away it was her. She was responsible for most of my favorite art pieces in the back of the books! Here are some of of the famous drawings you are all very aware of.
