Since we are in bootleg mode for a moment-here is a cool video of the Space Gandam V 1/55-turn on Closed Captioning and Auto-Translation Also another discovery-the Valkyrie 3-type...wow that box! Its the single fast pack booster squadron!

Thanks for the all the stories and info! I was dumb enough to not make the connection between 'Robot Tek'and 'Robotech'...of course! I found another pic of the 1/100 Takatoku model kit. I think this was the one your friend was describing, maybe just a mis-remembering of the gunpod firing since it was so long ago and there were probably other 1/55s they had http://wooroemae.com/zeroboard/zboard.php?id=menu_03_bbs&page=50&sn1=&divpage=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=vote&desc=asc&no=818&PHPSESSID=84be942dd9704564a65e6e184ab143e6

I've never seen them actually attached to anything-great find! All the sets I ever see are always loose (but still together with the stickers)

I would say that the Super McRoid and the Super Spartan are direct copies or import of the original Japanese kits-so it might have similar to the Revell Robotech situation...interesting!
-
The Revell kits were official in the fact that the were from Imai or Arii, but these are all new molds and interpretations. They are pretty wild!

While searching for a knockoff toy, I ran across some interesting model kits, thought I'd share the finds here! Feel free to add more! That Sally Tek above...is literally a Takatoku 1/100 toy?! I have to find this! See the comparison against the Takatoku Max VF-1J below. This one comes with a Gunpod...so it is better than the Takatoku ever could be (ha) https://bbs.ruliweb.com/family/232/board/300080/read/30125679

I'm tapping out...but others may still be trying! There are a LOT of transformers toys out there OMG
-
That does help...it means it isn't a carded figure, but comes in a box with styro!
-
Closer...got the make I think, stickers match I think it is some sort of Devastator Variant...but it also comes in RED head? come on google image search...do your magic
-

uhmm...WHAT!? Is that some sort of constructicon thingy? ok game on, gotta find it
-
The mystery continues....interesting! So not the Joons...as I recall those were VF-1Js An international Jetfire release. One more question Europe or Asia?
-
Ok...how about International or domestic US release? (asked since you posted the Savie variant of the VF-1)
-
We have to figure this out, I like this game. Its a Jetfire head? And it is Mass produced, not a homemade product right?

Oh heck yeah...this the book I've been threatening to make myself for the last 15 years using a 'make your own artbook' process I've been waiting a LONG time for this! Its not just a book by the artists with a few Macross pics thrown in which we've lived with for 40 years before we got the Tenjin dedicated volumes. This is to be THE book on vintage Macross Model Art. I hope it sells very well, and they continue on with a volume 2 with art from post 1984 and include art from the Toys so we have it all in some definitive editions. Can't wait! I had fun with the countdown timer, hope it is not too annoying for a little bit

Box seems to be the same height as a VF-1J or VF-1S vs the max or kaki right? Seems very big...shipping multiples is sure to be fun. That case looks insanely large just to hold 6 of them
