  1. I hunkered down and bought a 2nd Ostrich, and was super nervous opening the box...No Broken Tail fin! Whew! 😛 So I am 1 and 1, even Steven.
  2. If you do searches, it looks like its between $500 and $1000 for a private screening https://www.landmarktheatres.com/theatre-rental/ divided by 40 something fans it could be quite affordable
  3. Those unpainted pics are awesome! Love seeing those again after 720 pages And hey-thats my valk! The one I got at auction for $35 lol https://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/50337-bandai-dx-pre-production-unit-found/#comment-1637547
  4. Just give me a TV CF and I'll be happy until the bank account recovers. And just include the stupid missiles like they are doing on the upcoming Tamashi Nations VF-1J Just include them already.
  5. I really wish Bandai should have through this through a bit more They COULD have done something really cool, like each valk would randomly have different pieces cast in the difference materials, so if you collected enough of them you could swap them all out and have an all-chrome vf-1 for example and be the envy of all your Macross buddies Then people would want to buy multiples, and we'd be saying 'will trade one clear chest piece for the matte black' 😛 Or like the lottery one could come all-chrome, then you'd sell if for a lot because it was rare, but then someone would question you and say you assembled it from other ones haha
  6. Thanks for the update! That is definitely more promising that the standard general response.
  7. That pic to me sort of explains it. With the taller fuselage for the 2nd pilot perhaps Miyatake and Kawamori said 'if we fold the tailfins up as we normally do, its going to be at a super steep angle now on this 2 seater. Hmmm, what if we just didn't fold the tailfins and we have the same angle, oh that works, neat! Movie special!" Then Yamato and Bandai have to go and shrink the tailfins and ruin the design. Bah.

    Macross Books

Looks like another Macross book is coming soon https://hobbyjapan.co.jp/books/book/b652809.html from @no3Ljm's post on the Macross Modelers contest
  10. Thanks for posting that...and make sure to watch the beginning for all the upcoming model releases!
  11. Oh I agree The CS is putting the ticket in as "across frontier" and it is probably being categroized by the AI back end as a Star Trek request.
  12. ok sarcasm totally off now I know that is just a standard customer support request response...If you are interested in a title please let us know Just a bit frustrated the US market hasn't been addressed yet, as I had assumed it was one of the big driving forces with the new WWM license agreement.. Maybe they are prepping some official larger launch thing in the future with some other tie-ins, who knows.
  13. Sorry to sound like a jerk, but what? "This morning I contacted Disney. Although there is still no release in the USA, their CS rep said announcements and possibly the release itself will be influenced by customer requests." I wish all you Canadian based Macross fans would have contacted the America based fans, so we could have all went in on our official request to Disney together. ok sarcasm mostly off now Its awesome that you contacted them, but that response is disappointing. For a US release they are holding back until they get requests? Did other countries have some social media Macross campaign I was supposed to sign up for?
  14. Yes that makes good financial sense thanks for the info
  15. Are you finding that sea shipping is significantly cheaper than the air options? For smaller items the sea option is like 10% cheaper than some of the other options in my recent experience. Once time it was literally the same price. My stuff goes to SoCal so perhaps my rates are lower than others. Just wondering.
  16. As far as I know the SDCon is skipped this year. Maybe when the DYRL 4k subtitle is released in January, all the So-Cal members can pitch in and we can rent out a private theater session and watch it on the big screen That would be pretty cool.
  17. looks like we had setup a a min 5 posts to post in there, to minimize spammers lol
  18. very nice! I had no idea https://macross.fandom.com/wiki/Risa_Ebata I don't have one of the originals, but this makes me want to pick up the reissue
  19. maybe this one is a bit closer than the OP shot
  20. One of the things I enjoy searching for on the toys with tampo are how they warnings are interpreted by the manufacturer Such as 'Keep CleaN" instead of "Clear" I can't quite get a clear show of the markings on the back of the legs yet
  21. Is it me, or did they match many of the Tread angles for the pics
  22. yeah the backpack pins look like trouble... LOL
  23. Wow-that (Moshow) is just amazing. Aside from some of the strange proportions like the thighs, it is an amazing engineering feat. Everything moves and turns and pivots and slides. I don't mind the parts-forming too much if nothing is left over to set aside. So far I just think the back plate cover where you plug in the bike is the only left over part? Or do you then put that onto the bike somewhere? Def looking forward to this release, and more in the line. Great job.
  24. Just got mine in, but can't get to my mechanical version at the moment. Someone throw the clear fast packs from the Hikaru Mechanic on this already
