  1. How about a VF-4 Drifand Tank? 😛
  2. if you have any ideas how please let me know
  3. I was trying to promote this to Hobby Japan to do an interest article, it is quite hard talking to people now that emails are shunned and social media is the method for conversation. Did this little montage pic from some of the videos, which just reminds me how insane this project is!
  4. No kidding...the fact that I've been talking Macross stuff with many of you on the forums here since 2001 is insane. 22 years...that is a really really LONG freaking time!!
  5. ok...fixed...again LOL some strange default firewall rule is enabled on the outbound email, sorry the backed up mail queue is completely empty now, so I hope everyone has everything they needed!
  6. Nothing intentionally, I'll check tonight, thanks for the heads up! S
  7. 320mm=12.5 inches, which is about the size I'd actually WANT one of these things The Riobot 1/48 Legioss is awesome, but way to dang small for my hands, it gets me very frustrated with all the small pieces. If it was larger-say 1/24 or 1/32 I'd personally be much happier. I like the size of the Bandai DX 1/48...it feels right
  8. If it isn't a ratchet type, maybe you push them inwards to lock, outwards to swivel back Seems they are often not centered, unless its just weird camera angles
  9. they are pulling a Bandai with the numbering 😛 well...maybe not...at least they are consistent!
  10. I think I agree with that...sort of like the vf-1 battroids arms and the rotating hands come out, but reversed for the feet that looks like a hinge at the top

    Macross Books

Picked up one of the Signed Tenjin Comic Con 2023 books currently on ebay. Its a very nice addition, with a decent amount of explanation about the series and movies, and notes on various projects Tenjin has been involved with. I've never gotten into deep into Frontier or Delta at all, but even with the vast majority of the book on those 2 series, going through the pictures was quite enjoyable! Definitely recommended, even for the casual fans of the new series like myself.
  12. I had never noticed the back engines slide in-interesting approach to not having them hang down so low Could you get a shot of the engines outlets? I hope they are not just square and share some angulations! I always loved this line art
  13. looking pretty dang close to the original!
  14. Since this is Otakon, US based, we'll only see items from Macross Flashback and up, no SDF-1 for us here.
  15. Yes-this is the same modeler that was posted last year in this thread with the regult! wonder what is going to be next!
  16. Otakon on left, prev display from a couple months ago on right So is the pic on the left a camera/lighting thing, or do you think they changed to a deeper blue on this version? I honestly can't see any differences between the 2
  17. That looks really good! 3D Printing has really allowed customizers to do anything they can think up! If you add a couple boosters to the legs, they'll look like leg armor as well to complete the setup
  18. can we just say again how awesome it is...to click the where can I buy at the bottom And it takes you to the Tamashi Nations Amazon page where I can order it? (bit later than the 8/11 release, but it could be an early Christmas) https://www.amazon.com/TAMASHII-NATIONS-Macross-Phoenix-Hi-Metal/dp/B0BX2L8X9G?ref_=ast_sto_dp $150 is equivalent to a Japan buy + international shipping
  19. There are a few signed from SDCC 23 on ebay, but going 2x-3x the original price
  20. No, not me...at the average $30-$50 each I'd be broke from the volume I just appreciate from afar!
  21. I think it looks pretty good (Wave Left/New Interpretation right) Looks a little more Gundam-ish style to me
  22. I also found it in this version (climbing the tower) And bottom right corner here! Just thought it was cool to find this out after all these years
  23. Imai's Robodatchi line from the early 80's has a couple surprises, I just found an new one this morning, and it got me going down the rabbit hole a bit. When the Macross Package Art book came along, it mentioned the Robodatchi Pit-In kit-which is a recolorized Macross factory) So while the Factory was a direct copy of the factory, other kits were 'inspired'...back when Gerwalk wasn't a copyrighted term but a general term LOL Here is the Air Combat box. A Gerwalked variety of kits. And the Enterprise variant And then, not to beat around the bush anymore, they flat out called one Space Gerwalk The new discovery today was there is a VF-1S Battroid snuck into the lineup This VF-1S is in the Space Shuttle kit (among others). It is directing/controlling the grappler arms in this pic at top Here is a painted version
