  1. This one just arrived
  2. Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Felt like I was looking at Hasegawa's studio build pictures for their catalogs....great angles and incredible work!!
  3. Wow-with the closeups we can see that Bandai used decals on this mockup instead of Tampo printing, which makes a lot of sense for a proto I was wondering if they had a little hand printer or something they could just apply wherever they wanted...not the world is normal again

    Macross Books

I do feel a bit better knowing we are not the only ones who had horrible shipping experience with this book- these are from amazon japan, translated to english...sounds exactly like what we had, except we had an overseas element as well https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/天神英貴/product-reviews/4334101119/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_show_all_btm?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=all_reviews
  5. ah you are right, in my brain I was thinking the gunpod mounts were only on the inside....not sure where I got that idea
  6. Noticed the arms are on backwards (L/R), but also its a slightly new design with the circle on the inside (the gunpod mount would be center of both arms, not on the outside)
  7. It needs to have a button on the display stand that plays 'Sunset Beach' on demand
  8. I've always wanted to have a VT-1 like this (The old Orange Collection models)
  9. I wonder if the Ostrich uses normal size tailfins and does some other geometry magic with the rear hinge, or if it uses the shorter tailfins like Yamato did (that always bugged me, I like a full size tailfin)
  10. I wasn't sure if the light was playing off it, but it does look like it could be clear plastic-the wing stripe seems to be peeking through
  11. So the VT-1 might come with 4 figures? HIkaru in Flight Suit + Minmei and Hikaru and Misa in the escape aftermath?
  12. So is that an all metal DX?!?? And some more pics https://hjweb.jp/article/1243752/
  13. Oh heck yeah...for the 40th Anniversary of DYRL 1984/2024, so maybe middle/end of next year? We should see some more pics in the upcoming Tamashi Nations show this weekend-cannot wait!!
  14. Lets tone down the 'pisswaffles' type comments please, you can criticize in a less crude manner here. I'm looking forward to seeing this in person! I like the details I've seen so far, and the different interpretation of the fast pack internals vs Yamato. I think we have 4 unique versions now...Club-M which looks like the Gold Book Poster, the Yamato, which went with individual missiles, the Yamato/Arcadia 1/60 which changed the engines a little, but kept the individual missiles, and finally the DX, which returns to the missile tube version, but adds the little engine details (like the little spheres)
  15. Thanks for the link! Love the box-wish they would do mini posters again like they did in the beginning, that would look sharp.
  16. soooo close...come ON I just want to see the actual BOX already 😛
  17. Love this build!! I wish I could just buy it complete and painted!
  18. I know its a little unorthodox to cross post from another forum, but for the lite-lurkers who don't dig into the other sections, @ImChris5115 is making their own transformable valkyrie, proprietary design. I'm just floored at the skillset involved. Take a peek if you haven't checked it out!
  19. That is straight out of Heinlein's Starship Troopers book, where the women were the better pilots due to their ability to sustain a higher G load, too funny! We know Miyatake was a definite fan of that work
  20. Love the art on these, its so dynamic!
  21. Don't remember if posted before so sorry, but I found or refound the Mechanic Edition Instructions for a sneak peak at the armor. I'm old and forgetful and this thread is 767 pages long https://tamashiiweb.com/images/item/item_0000014582_LxbF0B89_300.pdf From the pic it looks like the "100" is the optional Tail Fin and the "001" will be assembled. Its coming in fighter mode
  22. Wrap your holiday gifts with it of course! Kaneda!!!!
