  1. So the VT-1 might come with 4 figures? HIkaru in Flight Suit + Minmei and Hikaru and Misa in the escape aftermath?
  2. So is that an all metal DX?!?? And some more pics https://hjweb.jp/article/1243752/
  3. Oh heck yeah...for the 40th Anniversary of DYRL 1984/2024, so maybe middle/end of next year? We should see some more pics in the upcoming Tamashi Nations show this weekend-cannot wait!!
  4. Lets tone down the 'pisswaffles' type comments please, you can criticize in a less crude manner here. I'm looking forward to seeing this in person! I like the details I've seen so far, and the different interpretation of the fast pack internals vs Yamato. I think we have 4 unique versions now...Club-M which looks like the Gold Book Poster, the Yamato, which went with individual missiles, the Yamato/Arcadia 1/60 which changed the engines a little, but kept the individual missiles, and finally the DX, which returns to the missile tube version, but adds the little engine details (like the little spheres)
  5. Thanks for the link! Love the box-wish they would do mini posters again like they did in the beginning, that would look sharp.
  6. soooo close...come ON I just want to see the actual BOX already 😛
  7. Love this build!! I wish I could just buy it complete and painted!
  8. I know its a little unorthodox to cross post from another forum, but for the lite-lurkers who don't dig into the other sections, @ImChris5115 is making their own transformable valkyrie, proprietary design. I'm just floored at the skillset involved. Take a peek if you haven't checked it out!
  9. That is straight out of Heinlein's Starship Troopers book, where the women were the better pilots due to their ability to sustain a higher G load, too funny! We know Miyatake was a definite fan of that work
  10. Love the art on these, its so dynamic!
  11. Don't remember if posted before so sorry, but I found or refound the Mechanic Edition Instructions for a sneak peak at the armor. I'm old and forgetful and this thread is 767 pages long https://tamashiiweb.com/images/item/item_0000014582_LxbF0B89_300.pdf From the pic it looks like the "100" is the optional Tail Fin and the "001" will be assembled. Its coming in fighter mode
  12. Wrap your holiday gifts with it of course! Kaneda!!!!

    Macross Books

Dang it...I temporarily forgot the cardinal rule of Macross Collecting There are ALWAYS Variants.
  17. Did your Type01 ever make it into the physical world? I love the sleek design of that one as well I feel like I'm seeing a Type 01 vs Type 02 Macross Plus Alternate Universe competition and love it. We need to find you a toy manufacturer and get these into production!
  18. I've been monitoring the YJ prices for the upcoming Mechanic Edition VF-1 (release Nov 17th 2023) With the current Yen to US $ conversion its not terribly bad ($310-$350), considering you get the valk + armor. The normal releases of those 2 pieces combined regularly exceed that. Wonder what the market $ will be once the release is official
  19. The Tamashi Nations show is on the 17th, so in just 11 more days we should hopefully see some more pictures from the displays and see the current version in development.
  20. oh.....so I'm the only one that uses Chogokin gloves? 😛
  21. Thank you for the feedback it is always welcome! I agree there are random 'it makes no sense type anomalies' like the crazy 'recent purchased Macross toy' thread that has all sorts of non-macross related items, and HG Macross labeled toys in the generic Anime and Sci Fi section. I do think generally the rules worked well to corral our 20+ years of activity, even with some getting really seriously bent for long periods of time. I know we have some dirty bits, but we are not chaotic. There definitely was a lingering long prior history that (unfortunately with many negatives) as the reason Robotech items having been confined to the generic anime forum vs the Macross toy forum. Until recently its been very frustrating being a Macross fan outside of Japan with the license being in the state it was for 35+ years. Now that each side has chosen to agreeably stake out their claims, I agree some loosening of the older rules is probably warranted. I don't necessarily want to see old Robotech Defender toys floating about in the Macross Toy section as one extreme, but I do think the new Valkyries from companies like Three-Zero are pretty cool, but they are labeled 'Robotech', not 'Macross' like some of the Toynami releases. So does Robotech Three Zero get moved into the Macross Toy section next to the Bandai DX 1/48 thread? Does an upcoming Robotech Bluray release get its own thread in the Macross Collectors section next to the upcoming Macross Zero release? Let me think about it for a bit. Thanks! Shawn
