    Taking one of the 4k frames vs the pic from the TIA DYRL from that link above https://slow.pics/s/PXQKAXiA Left is the 4k, right is the book (the book is obviously a diff frame due to the blinking lights on/off) Without freaking out too much quite yet, the one of the left sure looks 'enhanced' in some way, or that is one heck of a new 4k scan from the negative. I really hope this is the case (the latter) The books are most likely sourced from a 35mm print, so some loss is already expected. I think the way to definitively see if things are being enhanced is to find a DYRL cel from a collector, that is present in the 4k preview.

    another bluray(top) vs youtube 4k promo bottom I get to be the first to say "where did all the film grain go" LOL I will assume it is Youtube compression playing a major part, so these comparison aren't really helpful.

    so they do say a new film scanning techniques, but from the video they provided I still see blurry video. Wonder if they are doing some sort of AI type enhancements. colors are definitely more vibrant

    Sorry the board doesn't do HEIC images by default. It is super annoying. I'll look around again for a plugin that might be available.

    You are the king of VT-1 Ostrich cases...wow wow wow!!! An original Bandai 1/55 shipping case from 1985, unbelievable! Please make sure you put a note inside that case for your kids, so that way down the road when they sell off your toys from your estate, they don't ditch that as a generic cardboard box LOL Stock number on the case matches the box, just so cool!

    A case of Ostri? That is 6 right? Are you going to open them all up for inspection? Would love to see a pic of them. In 10 years we can look back at this thread it and go 'wow!' when they are all reselling for $800 each.

    Any chance you could share some pics on disassembly-like for the tailfins? I'd like to see if I can glue/weld my VT-1 tailfin to the little nub inside, but need to open it up
