GU-11 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 (edited) Mecha Guy's blog just posted an announcement for the 1/60 Macross 7 VF-19S Blazer Valkyrie Emerald Force Unit. Release Date: November 2011 Price: 22,000 yen Pretty bird, especially the battroid mode. Thing is, I've never been a fan of Mac7's more shounen anime theme, which makes it a pass for me. Anyway, enjoy the pics...if they haven;t already been posted somewhere else in this site. Edited October 4, 2011 by GU-11 Quote
VF-19 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 It's also up for pre-order on HLJ... Still too expensive for me. Hoping for a sale! Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 There's already a thread on the first page devoted to the VF-19S, F and P >.> But thanks for the effort anyway Quote
kanedaestes Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=35341&st=280 Yeah we have been on top of this also in the above thread you will see pics of the VF-19P as well. Quote
Kicker773 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I wonder if it can hold its gerwalk mode...but none the less... i'm excited... Quote
GU-11 Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 There's already a thread on the first page devoted to the VF-19S, F and P >.> But thanks for the effort anyway Thanks, MacrossJunkie. This is my first attempt at playing a "news reporter." LOL! I'm starting to hear crickets in the background.... I had a feeling by the time anything gets on a blog, it the news would have already started to become stale. I wonder if it can hold its gerwalk mode...but none the less... i'm excited... I'm curious about that, too. Notice the two clear plastic cubes that look like they're holding up the nosecone. Loose joints on the early prototype? I'm sure they'll get around to fixing it. I can't imagine they'd release a fig that can't stand in GERWALK. Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Thanks, MacrossJunkie. This is my first attempt at playing a "news reporter." LOL! I'm starting to hear crickets in the background.... I can't imagine they'd release a fig that can't stand in GERWALK. That's just a painted resin prototype. You can see the white areas where the blue paint has chipped off of what would have otherwise been blue plastic. Yamato always seems to have stuff propping up their resin prototypes. Definitely not a worry. Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 still no pic of its gunpod. I want to compare the size of it to the old yamato 1/60 yf-19 version since I thought that was a bit undersized. Quote
VF-18S Hornet Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I agree, compared to the OVA and anime it's lacking in size I hope they make some improvements on the size. Even the Fire Valk speaker pod is huge. Quote
Renato Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 (edited) I don't think that will be a problem. The reason the YF-19 gunpod is so small on the toy is because it has to sit behind the "gullet" in Fighter mode. The new VF-19kai has fixed that area entirely and also made the launcherpod able to bend slightly to "wrap" around that area, so I should think there will be no size issue with the new gunpod. However, their promise that it will also incorporate some cool new unrevealed feature is intriguing... Unless it's just the magazine removal again. EDIT -- Maybe they've found a way to store a spare magazine inside the shield, like in Mac Plus? Dunno if the 19S can do that, but you never know. Edited October 9, 2011 by Renato Quote
Javabean Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 The Emerald is just on pre-order here but don't intend to get this. Quote
VF-18S Hornet Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 The Emerald is just on pre-order here but don't intend to get this. Can someone say Buzzkill Quote
ae_productions Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Damn it! How am I going to afford THIS too? That is one SEXY Valk. That head sculpt turned out far better than I hoped. Just awesome. Quote
Graham Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 still no pic of its gunpod. I want to compare the size of it to the old yamato 1/60 yf-19 version since I thought that was a bit undersized. Don't worry, the new gunpod is fine. Graham Quote
ErikElvis Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 I wish they could incorporate a dim LED into the visors. Maybe one of these years. Quote
Mommar Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 I can't wait for this release. I've got my one little Hi-Metal Vf-19 but to be honest I've never been too happy with it. Its Gerwalk is just awful looking. Plus I like the fact this release appears to have longer versions of the wings. Quote
Arthurius Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Just wanted to way this is the sexiest batroid ever, man, the color scheme is absolutely awsome (eventhough it is photoshoped). Too bad prices have gone up so much that its 260$ before shipping/tax !!! Thats about 100 $ more than the yf-19 was at the time, which bring it out of range for some. people (such as myselft!!!!). Man, times are changing so fast, i wish i could keep up with the rest of you. Quote
Reïvaj Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 I think these pictures are of a non photoshoped painted prototype. Of course, the colours may change in the final product… Quote
Reïvaj Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 More pics of the painted prototype: http://www.yamato-to...l?infolnk=index So for those who wanted to see the gun pod: Am I wrong or they mention something about a remote possibility of a VF-17T and VF-11改? 良いでしょ。 後はVF-17SとDと、期待薄の17Tと11改とかあると、もっと楽しいよねぇ~。 Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 It's good to see new pics, can't wait for this release!! Quote
eugimon Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 omg, that's amazing! A film canister! Where the hell did they find one of those things??? Quote
Mommar Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 (edited) Holy crap am I glad I preordered this!!! Dammit that blue is SEXY. Edited October 12, 2011 by Mommar Quote

Mommar Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Am I wrong or they mention something about a remote possibility of a VF-17T and VF-11改? Yes, it appears they say there's a remote possibility of a 17 Trainer and what looks like a retrofitted or reworked 11? Quote
eugimon Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 bring on the ver 1.5 vf-11... cuz the only reason to rework it is to give it the protect armor pack. Quote
Reïvaj Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 As 改 is the kanji for Kai my guessing is they may consider making the VF-17T and VF-11MAXL to complete the Sound Force… Quote
eugimon Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 As 改 is the kanji for Kai my guessing is they may consider making the VF-17T and VF-11MAXL to complete the Sound Force… oh. I'd rather have the armor pack. Quote
Reïvaj Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 oh. I'd rather have the armor pack. True. I'd like that too. Quote
Raptor One Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 (edited) As odd as the design is I think I would get a VF-11MAXL. Delta wings ftw. But that would mean I would have to get the 19 Kai as well.. Edited October 12, 2011 by Raptor One Quote
