MCC Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 I've come across this baby from another discussion group. Wow, VF-0S has grown from 1/100 to 1/60. IIRC, the length of VF-0S in fighter mode is 18.69m. This means that the length of this baby is 31.15cm. This is equivalent to 1/48 VF-1. Quote
aaajin Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Yeaa.. Finally ! Looking good so far..& its designed using a CAD program (or ProE here in the US)..meaning that it'll most prolly be looking good ala the 1/48s......I dont really care about the 1/100...but this one looks yummy aaaajin Quote
UN Spacy Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Yamato suprises us yet again. WOW! How many of us were expecting a 1/60 VF-0? Quote
EXO Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Yes! Yamato is prolly learning that big is the way to go! I'll be getting one of these for sure, where I was iffy with the 1/100 scale. Quote
Toonz Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 goods news BUT will they take the next 2 years to develop this valk before they decide to shelf it again like the 1/100? well i hope not..... Quote
Hayao Kakizaki Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Found something different to the original design in the cad draw: the wing in battroid mode suppost have some part overlap, but now it seem just like VF-1, hope they will correct it.... Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 how about some pictures? Anybody have pictures of this news? I'ma buy it now for sure. I just hope they fix the whole transforming sequence. Quote

Mechamaniac Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 SCUPUDA!! Hopefully, this makes it beyond vaporware. Quote
hirohawa Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Great googly moogly! This is awesome news. Looks like the fat lady has been effectively gagged. Quote
Sumdumgai Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 (edited) Great news! I had pretty much given up hope on a VF-0 and other new Macross stuff from Yamato (other than the GBP and cannon fodder). There wouldn't happen to have been anything about the YF-19FP in that magazine would there? edit: If they're doing a 1/60 VF-0, now there is no way anyone can argue against a 1/60 YF-19 or YF-21! Edited July 24, 2005 by Sumdumgai Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Interesting, the closed wings in battroid mode looks better than before in 1/100 scale. I thought Yamato had given up on it ... Where`s the YF-19FP ? Quote
HG Blows Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Hooray! Macross lives just a little bit longer. I was beginning to think it was over. Quote
Majestic Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 WOW! That is some great news! I'm really glad Yamato decided to go this route. I'm sure it will have fantastic "perfect transformation" in the mode of the 1/48. Can't wait! Bring on the prototype pics! Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Yes, finally!!!! The 1/60 line is not dead. VF-0s along VF-1s! I like everything in the same scale and the 1/60 line is the most complete out there!!! Hope this means more enemy mechs and destroids and the YF-19 in the same scale. Have all the 1/60's and will continue supporting this line Bring on yer 1/60 VF-0 Yamato!!! 1/48 GBP and CF. The Garland in the near future, now this. My wallet won't be very happy:lol: Quote
David Hingtgen Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Wonder how long until we get the VF-0D? I much prefer the D, S reminds me too much of a VF-1, especially in Roy's colors. Quote
Scream Man Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Thats pretty freakin cool! Especially if it really is in 1/60 and as tall as a 1/48 as someone said before. pretty sweet Quote
striderhiryu Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 finally i get to hear good news, hopefully they make the zero valks into a complete collection like the 1/60 VF-1's. if things go good then there is chance to see even a 1/60 Sv-51 so it can have something to go against. Quote

Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 OH MY FREAKING GOD!! whoaaaa!!!!!! I HOPE THIS IS PERFECT VARIABLE lord knows it's big enough to acomodate it. I hope Nishikawa sanis sculpting this baby and I hope this comes out before summer! DROOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DREAMS COME TRUE!!! burn in hell 1/100 burn in hell! Quote
Shmitty Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Oh hells yeah! Really didn't see this coming at all, hopefully it will come out later enough for the wallet to recover from the GBP and the CF-1A. Quote
Skull Leader Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 (edited) I'll believe it once I see a toy prototype They made it further than this with the 1/100 version before shitcanning that. I'm hopeful though! Edited July 24, 2005 by Skull Leader Quote
ValkJunkie Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 Awesome news.. bigger is definitely gonna be better on this one.. hopefully no parts swapping either.. I cant read japanese.. but i see a "2006" as part of the description.. can someone who can read elaborate? Quote
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 It looks leagues better than the 1/100 scale train wreck. Good to know Yamato hasn't given up on Mac Zero yet. Quote
Jin_Kune_Do Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 YESSS!!!! Dont you guys realise...that if this 1/60 VF-0S makes it into production and if the sales is a succes, we can then...with some realistic optimism expect a 1/48 VF-0S!!!!..... ...HELL YEAH! Fo Shize ! Wow....imagine that a 1/48 scale VF-0S hehehe... - Jin Quote
SDFcommander Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 This is good news! I too hope it is a perfect transformation. I really love the look of the VF-0S I don't know about a 1/48 sized VF-0S seeing how the 1/60 VF-0 will be about the same size as a VF-1 1/48. A 1/48 VF-0S would be huge! If they do a good job on this one and make it so you don't have to remove pieces to transform it, I will be happy with a line of 1/60 VF-0s I too will love to see more on this as it developes. Quote
valk1j Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Great news, Yamato finally does something with the Mac Zero license. Quote
mojacko Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 (edited) SWEEEEET!!! looking forward to add this valky!!! just hope its a perfect transformation and no more removing any parts....here & there... Edited July 25, 2005 by mojacko Quote
ghiblione Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 (edited) In fact, this 1/60 vf-os is a perfect transformation. In the pic, it just note this. That's really great!!! Edited July 25, 2005 by ghiblione Quote
Graham Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Looks great. Can't wait to get 3 or 4 of these. I glad Yamato decided to cancel the smaller scale and go with a larger size and do it all CAD, unlike the 1/100. I notice the LERX (or LEX) are still not very visible in battroid mode though, just like on the 1/100. I hope we get a VF-0D later, especially the standard grey version, which IMO after having a Hasegawa built in that color looks so much better than Shin's blue paint scheme. An SV-51 would be great as long as Yamato paints or Tampo prints Nora's yellow markings. Having them as Yamato decals would be a nightmare. Graham Quote
Briareos Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Full Transformation!! Woo Hoo!! How are they going to do the nose-needle? It may look great but thats probably the first thing to break. Not to mention it's not really becoming on battloid mode. Bring on the SV-51!! Quote
eming Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Wow! This is excellent news... This means Yamato still has the M0 license... I guess the 1/100 prototype used in the shoots is going to be super collectible... Jerry Quote
