Notice how the VT-1's tail is just like the other VF-1s unlike the Hasegawa kit.

Where did you find them? (I've seen some of them before, just not sure where.)

The one quoted above has some Japanese text showing through from the scan. Someone who's good enough with Japanese might be able to flip it, play around with the contrast/brightness/levels, and read some of the text.

These and that awesome cutaway of the fighter are from Model Graphix issue 158 January 1998. It is a must have for seriouse Valkaholics.

some of those changes (IE the block 5 changes) are representitive of the design alterations that were made for the VF-1 as seen in DYRL (so in effect, those were design changes made for the VF-1X Plus Valkyries), although the prototype stuff is new to me.

I was under the understanding that the VT-1 was "supposed" to have the same kind of tails as a standard VF-1 (the brief moments you get to see it in the movie it looks normal), I can only assume they were altered for model and toy functionality.
