derex3592 Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 If these are as detailed as that F-15, I would definitely be in for a few, especially if they do the Delta Valks. Quote
Big s Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 I hope these turn out well. Maybe other macross series could be added like macross plus or zero along with the ones shown. Quote

Old Man Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Yes. According to the billboard, it was lightened. 光ってる.jpg I thought I saw a VF-X! Noice!!! Quote
QEssential Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Damm they look good! Pity they don't transform. And the price... yikes! Quote
Vifam7 Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 (edited) Damm they look good! Pity they don't transform. And the price... yikes! You don't want a model kit (esp in 1/144 scale!) to transform. Transformation should be left to the Arcadia and Bandai DX toys. Edited February 10, 2016 by Vifam7 Quote

Whats better than a VF-31A? Multiple CF 31A's! Damm they look good! Pity they don't transform. And the price... yikes! Yea not too crazy abt the price too but hey if it gets you multiple modes, for display purposes i think thats ok. Am not wanting to transform a valk that frequently. The other thing you have to live with is the scale, but it does have its own charms. Quote

seti88 Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Thanks for the link! 1. Not sure why the 1a cockpit is foggy whereas the 1s is not.. 2. that led kit is pricey..almost the some as a valk... Hmm any preorder dates as per the usual retailers? Quote
Karaoke Ninja Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Looks like only the VF-1S comes with missiles and only the 1A comes with landing gear. Quote
Chas Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Thanks for the link! 1. Not sure why the 1a cockpit is foggy whereas the 1s is not.. The images with the 'foggy' canopies are 3D prints not polystyrene kits built up. That is why they have 'foggy' canopies. Quote
Vifam7 Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) Looks like only the VF-1S comes with missiles and only the 1A comes with landing gear. Nah, all of them will likely come with landing gears and missiles. The Gimix line has never released a kit without landing gears or some kind of ordnance. Edited February 11, 2016 by Vifam7 Quote
Graham Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 These look awesome. I'll skip the VF-1, as I'm all burnt out on classic Macross at the moment, but I'll definitely be up for the VF-31. Quote
GMK Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Just need to integrate the light & sound into a VF-1J on the catapult. Quote
chyll2 Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 wow, so they already got the VF-31A in prototype stage Quote
seti88 Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 pre-orders up at ami http://slist.amiami.com/top/search/list?s_keywords=tomytec&submit=Search&pagemax=40 and also hobby search http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/search?typ1_c=101&cat=&state=&sold=0&sortid=0&searchkey=tomytec Quote
Big s Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 It looks like they have a bundle set for these. Quote
Big s Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 It says 2mode set that for the price I think you get parts for the fighter and battroid and probably the extra parts for gerwalk although I can't read the description. It looks like from the pictures of the fighters that the 1a has a TV pilot and the 1s has the movie Roy. If the pilots are easy to remove I may repaint them and swap them so I can have a tv Roy. Quote
seti88 Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Oh you mean gerwalk mode. Yea i put down for a roy and CF gerwalk. Just realised my link b4 had a missing l at the end...lol... http://masterfileblog.jp/news/2016/02/10/6592.html From the pics am not sure if the pilots look removable ... Quote

It looks like from the pictures of the fighters that the 1a has a TV pilot and the 1s has the movie Roy. If the pilots are easy to remove I may repaint them and swap them so I can have a tv Roy. The bundle sets are ones that have a fighter kit and a battroid kit in the box. Having both kits in the box means you don't have to buy 2 separate kits for gerwalk mode. If you want to repaint the pilot figure, that's easy. It a kit, so you repaint the pilot figure, glue him to the seat, then build the cockpit. Quote
Major Focker Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 a bit confused by this image: so this set includes 3 complete figures? (fighter, gerwalk, battroid)? Quote
jenius Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 I think it's showing how 2 separate figures come together to be one Gerwalk though I'd agree the image is odd. Quote
Vifam7 Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 BTW, the "2 modes" (bundle) version comes with extra decals (according to Amiami - decals to enhance the diorama scene). Also, HLJ now has them listed. Quote
Hikaru1234567890 Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Put me down for a Roy set, Im hooked. Really want to see how these fit in with 1/144 Gunpla. Quote
Big s Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 I preordered last night at work. This may have the best looking battroid since the hasegawa kits. Quote
seti88 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 a bit confused by this image: so this set includes 3 complete figures? (fighter, gerwalk, battroid)? I thk what the bundle set is essentially is a fighter + battroid + backpack with no arms stowed away. So to get gerwalk you use the fighter body + battroid arms and legs + the extra gerwalk backback. If you dont want gerwalk you can still have the fighter and battroid. Thats just what i get from the pic and the translations done so far. I preordered last night at work. This may have the best looking battroid since the hasegawa kits. I agree! I like the blocky proportions! Quote
GMK Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 A couple of CF & some N (1/150) scale buildings = instant Ataria island fight scene. Quote
seti88 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 A couple of CF & some N (1/150) scale buildings = instant Ataria island fight scene. with hi-metal regults haha Quote
Jefuemon Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 with hi-metal regults haha Since the Hi-Metal line is around 1/100 scale, truthfully that would pair well with 1/144 Battroids for a true-scale. Quote
Major Focker Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 thanks for the clarification guys. unfortunately with this bundling, fighter legs and battroid torso would be completely wasted for folks who are just after gerwalk. it's a good upselling scheme for folks who would just get 1 or 2 but prohibitive for army builders. would have been willing to pay 1.5x fighter price for a pure gerwalk, but 2x is steep. so now i'm just ordering 6 gerwalk bundles instead of 9 Quote
