sketchley Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 You guys are fast! The addendum to that initial post: To clarify: the article doesn't clearly state who's making it. Above it is the Yamato VF-4G. To the left is the Hasegawa YF-19. Under it are "for questions, please contact customer service" followed by Yamato's homepage. Below that is Hasegawa's telephone number. Quote
Renato Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I always liked the Lancer II, for some strange reason. Never felt much for the Ghost, but a member here did a really nice front page pic of it a few years back which really captures the nostalgic feel. Anyway, I'm guessing these are going to be kits again... Quote
sketchley Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 ... and I'll bend my "no scans" rule for this: Quote
EXO Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 I put question marks until we're certain. I guess graham can confirm or deny this. Quote
charger69 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) 1/4 pg: Yamato QF-3000E Ghost and SF-3A Lancer II 3DCG images based on CAD data Make it cheap Yamato then I would buy in multiples (as the concept involves multiples) Thank you sketchley for the scan! It's well worth it! Edited January 25, 2012 by charger69 Quote
EXO Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 Frrom what hearing. This is from digimix. Same people that made the destroids and the regult for Yamato. Still unconfirmed if this is Yamato though. They are classifying them as garage kits though. HDP? Quote
charger69 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Yamato made MZero Ghost before as a final product, why a HDP kit now? Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Great news!!! Hope it's official. I'm in with the QF-3000E Ghost, not so sure with the SF-3A Lancer II. Quote
Mommar Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 If this is the "other stuff" Graham mentioned would fill the gap between the next 17 and 19 releases I am less than underwhelmed. I guess there are a lot of fans of these things on this board though. Quote

Yamato made MZero Ghost before as a final product, why a HDP kit now? i love the leaps in logic :3 So if it's by Hasegawa, we'd know it's a kit cuz they don't do much else. If it was made by Yamato, it'd probably be a plastic kit like the Fan Racer since that is also a sub-mecha and all three are basic airplanes. Also they made that Command Car to go with their big Ingram right? HDP was for things that were big, beefy, and have to move~ Quote

Ghost deserves a finished product; Lancer II... well... plastic kit is a solution. Quote
EXO Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 The phalanx deserves a finished product too. We saw how well that's going. Quote
Kelsain Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Meh on the Lancer. Is that a scale comparison with the Ghost? It looks WAY too small. Unless the Ghost is huge??? If the price is right, I might go for one those. 2012 is gonna drive me crazy if this full-time gig doesn't go through. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 The phalanx deserves a finished product too. We saw how well that's going. +1 Quote
charger69 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 The phalanx deserves a finished product too. We saw how well that's going. I still have hope BTW, I want to ask to someone who knows it. Why web exclusive products are also Japan exclusive products in practice? Because of the strict rules of Tamashii or Yamato Online Shop websites solely? Why there is such a rule then? Quote
EXO Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 Concerning Macross toys? They're ALL Japan exclusives. Because of tatsanuko/HG vs BW crap. Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Sure would be great if Yamato is behind these. And eventhough they decide to make it HDP kits for both, I am totally in for these. They might as well throw in a the spider bug while they're at. Or some other obscure background mecha. Quote
charger69 Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) Concerning Macross toys? They're ALL Japan exclusives. Because of tatsanuko/HG vs BW crap. I know it is out of topic but Bandai's Tamashii Web Exclusive Gundam products are also Japan Exclusive in practice. AFAIK there is no such a problem like HG vs. BW in terms of Gundam franchise?? The Ghost isn't exactly a complex design in terms of markings so if they really tried they could a fairly complete looking kit with some color molding. Quote

If the price is decent, I'm in for a set. I was actually thinking about designing the Ghost in 1/60. Looks like I will not have to now. Quote
EXO Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 OH GOD, GHOST!!! Looks like you just seen a ghost! Quote
Archer Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I am dissappoint I was looking forward to some new valkyries, not just regular vehicles. I'm happy for those of you that have been looking forward for these two though! Quote
Reïvaj Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 It's only 01/25 and you're already disappointed about this year’s releases? Dude, you’re hard to please. Quote
Graham Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 It's only 01/25 and you're already disappointed about this year’s releases? Dude, you’re hard to please. Haha, best quote of the day so far. Can I put that in my signature? Really made me chuckle reading it.Graham Quote
Major Focker Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Wheres the god damn X-9! you said it Quote
Archer Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Well, I kind of assumed that this was the "surprise" releases as hinted by Graham and Jenius....maybe I jumped ship to early But yeah, it's MW man! Quote
danth Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Finally! The only Ghost drone I care about. I was in love with that thing from the first time I saw it shoot straight up into space in the very first episode of Macross. The Lancer is also awesome. Never was quite sure if it was unmanned or not. Quote
Kurisama Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 YES! First the QF-2200, then the MacF Ghosts (hope they re-release) now the QF-3000! Like stated previously - bring on an X-9 already!! Then I can stop trying to make one for shapeways... Quote
VF5SS Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 why does everyone like that goofy red lump with wings anyways Quote
Kurisama Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Cause it's elegant and deadly and awesome. Quote
VF5SS Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 deadly to a bunch of stationary VF-11 drones Quote
