SchizophrenicMC Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I love the Macross Mecha Manual. My one stop shop for mecha stats. I wish there was an index listing all the mechs together but it's only a wish MAHQ, to an extent.
rotorhead Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 i'd consider buying it if it had knees *ducks the ensuing napalm storm* ... and maybe a kungfu punch
eugimon Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 i'd consider buying it if it had knees *ducks the ensuing napalm storm* ... and maybe a kungfu punch true true, how is it supposed to run and stuff without knees?
SchizophrenicMC Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 (edited) true true, how is it supposed to run and stuff without knees? How about sitting down? Edited September 9, 2009 by SchizophrenicMC
ruskiiVFaussie Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 (edited) true true, how is it supposed to run and stuff without knees? How about sitting down? It did sit down, got smashed (well cannon fire blast) to the ground and put on it's arse by the Meltrandi remember? It doesn't need knees, that's what the big arse boosters are for, pushing it around with menacing ease for example DYRL? finale. (she was crusin!!) A mate and I reckon it's a good chance this will be exclusive. Good, bring it, can't wait! Edited September 9, 2009 by ruskiiVFaussie

SchizophrenicMC Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 It did sit down, got smashed (well cannon fire blast) to the ground and put on it's arse by the Meltrandi remember? Naw, really? I know. That's why I said it.
Brand Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 ... and maybe a kungfu punch "Now with extreme Daedalus Attackâ„¢ action!"
anotheran Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 (edited) hmm... if only i had the budget to buy 1 yamato macross to build a macross city in my basement and buy 1 macross frontier to hang above to fight off the vajra.... i like DYRL more than the TV version Edited September 9, 2009 by anotheran

Very nice Macross crossover ad. I just watched Toy Story too. BTW, my opinion btw TV vs DYRL SDF: TV is like the sole carrier CVN-65 Enterprise, while DYRL is more like the current line of Nitmitz nuclear carriers.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) Naw, really? I know. That's why I said it. Oh yeah, sure, another head pilot scenario. They need to change your title to New Edwars Test Pilot as well, after how many releases of sticker sheets they still get it wrong. T_T what the hell is a lobizon? Cyclone Trooper Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 That is sheer, unadulterated beauty!
DyNo Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I'm going to need to work 2 jobs for all this crap coming out ....
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Yup, it was only a matter of time. It definitely will be the centerpiece of my Macross collection. AND...it's made out of soap!
dafunguy Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Is this thing ever going to come out? It's been over half a year, and the only thing that changed is the color. C'mon, slap some paint on it and start selling this sucker.

EXO Posted September 11, 2009 Author Posted September 11, 2009 They did say it was going to be released Spring 2010...
geepogi Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 (edited) finally something from yamato that comes with a stand! or will it? Edited September 11, 2009 by geepogi
ron5864 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 So much epic-ness built into this... I wonder how much this thing is going to weigh? Not something that is going to fit onto my Flexi-stands.
Dangard Ace Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Whee! Now THAT'S an SDF-1 to get excited about! Not the puny WHAM SDF-1.
eugimon Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 gah, too awesome! Can't wait to see some detail shots and a list of gimmicks.
todd77 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Looks like Yamato have added quite a bit more detail to it overall. Absolutely loving it! Can't wait to see it in its proper colors!!
UN Spacy Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 I have nothing to say... ...I'm just gonna sit here and smile.
Jasonc Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Maybe that raise will be put to more use than simply paying bills I'm saving change, if you can believe that, and up to about $200 in change. Hopefully by preorder time, I'll have enough to get one through. Man, this will be one of those rare things when it's out...Wonder if the price is gonna get higher as it gets close to release.
BlueMax Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 It will be out when it's ready. Hah... good thing Yamato isn't Blizzard
hirohawa Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Wow! Can't wait to add that beauty to the collection. A real masterpiece!
glane21 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Why do they even bother putting up the No Pictures signs when someone is allowed, or has time, to put a pack of cigarettes (the official Asian scale object) in front of it and then take a picture? Also there is a tiny battleship there for scale as well, but I assume Yamato put that there.
derex3592 Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Gonna be REALLY hard to pass on this and wait for a TV version...if they make one......this thing is pretty COOOOL!!!!

EXO Posted September 11, 2009 Author Posted September 11, 2009 The pictures are from the Yamato Fan Club, so it's taken by Yamato people themselves. I think it's in a waiting room in the Yamato offices, where visitors can take a look but not take pictures.
MaveRick Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 niceeeee.. i really hope this would push through..
westfall Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 (edited) This is going to be a thing of beauty. Problem is there's Bandai's Alto w/ EX-Gear , the 1/72 VF-27 and the DX Macross Quarter on their way. That will bankrupt me. Period. Then, in adition to this beast, both in size and in price tag, there is another beast coming from Sideshow Collectibles standing at 20+ inches, the awesome looking movie acurate Optimus Prime. With both of them having an expected price of around US$ 500, one will have to be taken off the list and though i love the SDF-1, Prime is wining for 2 reasons... 1 - i have the Wave SDF-1 (wich despite the minute size, compared to this, is an awesome figure) and Optimus looks just spectacular. No way i can save for both. Edited September 11, 2009 by westfall
hutch Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 That thing is beautiful. Need a SDFM version and I'm in.
