Alex Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) I wonder if the figure will include a foldable Sheryl concert poster. For some reason, I quite like the image of Alto carrying that in the first ep. is the armour removeable? Edited May 14, 2009 by Alex Quote
miriya Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Is this confirmed as a toy? It kind of looks model kit like. Quote
regult Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Not sure about the articulations being so visible...maybe they should attempt to add some "skin" (a la Evangelion rubbery skins) or an actual "space suit" to the figure, w/o the sewing QC issues of the Mospeada figures with self-exploding pants. It is very articulated for sure! Quote
Scream Man Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 rubber bodies like that break down aster, id rather have jointes. looks great! hope the helmet is removable. Quote
eyesonme78 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Finally a color display. Source: http://blog.hobbystock.jp/report/2009/05/etc0094.html My wallet is starting to gasp for breath.... sighs.. Quote
m0n5t3r Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 it looks nice... any info on the size/height? helmet removable? alternate head? Quote
edwin3060 Posted May 14, 2009 Author Posted May 14, 2009 I wonder what scale this is in? I might get one if it is 1/8 scale like the Banpresto figures. Quote
miriya Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Me want. Bad. Please, me can have? I am pretty sure that all you will have to do is buy it. Bandai would suck donkeyballs if they made this an exclusive. But then again everyone sucks donkeyballs. Damn exclusives!!! Quote
malakite Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 It's roughly around 17cm, that's pretty decent I think. Quote
alfye Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 It's roughly around 17cm, that's pretty decent I think. Like SaintClothMyths!!! I hope for diecast gear and good facesculpt. Alto, im waiting you! Quote
Bowen Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Hope they release an Ozma version later on as well Quote
Jasonc Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 An armored Klan would be awesome! Now, that would be a definite buy. I'm hoping for this thing more like in the $40-$60 range. Anymore than that, and I may pass. Too many other things to get that $60+ dollars can go to. Quote
westfall Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I wonder if the figure will include a foldable Sheryl concert poster. For some reason, I quite like the image of Alto carrying that in the first ep. is the armour removeable? If not you can always print the poster to scale and make the plane from that. Pretty simple IMO. Quote
westfall Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Finally a color display. Source: http://blog.hobbystock.jp/report/2009/05/etc0094.html In that same page is one of the robots from Kawamori's Basquash. It's a bit silly looking mecha in the anime but it looks nice as a model. The color EX-Gear is awesome. ME WANT!!! Quote
MacrossJunkie Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 That thing looks pretty good. I don't normally collect figures, but I'm tempted to make an exception. Only if it is in the $60-80 price range though. I wonder if the figure will include a foldable Sheryl concert poster. For some reason, I quite like the image of Alto carrying that in the first ep. is the armour removeable? You could always print out a shrunk down image of the poster on a color printer and then fold it up into a mini paper airplane yourself At least, that's what I would do. Quote
Smiley424 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Looks very nice, I'll probably get one, Alto or Michael. If a Sheryl version is made, then it becomes a must buy Quote
mickayesou Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) armor plus ex-gear saotome alto release in september , price 7500 yens Edited June 2, 2009 by mickayesou Quote
regult Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) Looking nice, pretty boy Alto Saotome gets a seat? ("ejection" seat is not appropriate, since the EX-gear is ejected, not the seat). Yet another Macross toy-line I want to collect! This is terrible... Maybe I can forget about an eventual gashapon SMS flight suit set, this is way better! but I still want so many things, there just isn't enough room for all of them, and my wallet is hiding away. Edited June 2, 2009 by regult Quote
ff95gj Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 The exhibited model didn't thrill me, but now all the gimmicks have got my interests. And the price is ok too... Sold. Quote
eyesonme78 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 With the VE-1 incoming in Sept, my wallet is gonna scream for emergency operation for bigger money leaks.. Quote
regult Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Just to spoil the party, the sitting figure seems to be a bit uncomfortable, the arms have a hard time finding the control sticks I am wondering how the final product is going to be presented. I now see some room for improvement on the cockpit mock up. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 To bad it doesn't come with a Kimono dress. Quote

Quote
TCracker Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 It wil be mine. I will pose him with my DXs. Hopefully everyone will be made, not just Alto. Quote
Ivan Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Wow... had no idea that the armor is removeable or that it could turn into a cockpit mock-up. Will definitely buy one! Quote
eriku Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 A W E S O M E. I will be getting this for sure. Hopefully I can also find a correctly scaled kabuki outfit for him to wear. Quote
miriya Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 It looks great. But I dont get why people think this is a good price. I dont know the scale but comparing it to the megahouse ride armor sets this seems to be about the same amount of detail but more expensive. I like the sculpt and gimmick but I cant afford this hobby. I guess I should be careful what I ask for! Quote

No, it's completely appropriate. The Ex-gear IS the seat. I want it. I don't care how gay my friends will call me for having a pretty boy figure. Quote
crasis Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Absolutely SOLD! Now off to cancel some VF100s so I can afford this. Quote
