edwin3060 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Looks like I'll have to get both! I agree though, the decals don't work well on an already complicated Armoured VF.
protostar8 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 (edited) Just noticed HLJ has the Armored Alto up for pre-order 5% off for a few days. But Alto is spelled Alt, so it might get easily overlooked... http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN959445 I just put in an order for one. I hope that by release, we'll know what comes with each so I'll know which one to cancel. Edited May 11, 2009 by protostar8
Major Focker Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 just came across this in a mag. might be useful for canopy tinting. color wash
regult Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 (edited) I am happy enough with normal decals, these special decals get snatched up by stores in Hong Kong and sold separately so often...or there is sth I didn't get quite right. It was impossible to "steal" the Cathy decal from the superpack "S", but I don't remember seeing the "S" wearing super packs (wait, maybe in episode 3 or 4, but for such a brief moment) I only remember it as a Armored Valk almost all the time, so it's going to be a hard decision, Alto or Ozma? Alto shows up on all three confirgurations so often...but then I'll end up with 3 Alto customs! Edited May 11, 2009 by regult
anime52k8 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 so will the special decals only come with bundled sets or will they come with stand alone armor sets?
edwin3060 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 so will the special decals only come with bundled sets or will they come with stand alone armor sets? Are there even going to be standalone armour sets?
protostar8 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I'm having some trouble getting my VF-25G with armor parts to fit together right in Fighter mode. The legs just don't seem to wanna fit right with the little part that is hinged on the side. And pushing the legs up seems to make the crotch area (and the piece it's connected to under the cockpit) pull away from the nose of the plane. Anyone have any trouble-shooting tips or a link to a vid/pic tutorial?

protostar8 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 hi man, i wish i could help but i dont really get what you're saying, could u show some pics of the problem ur facing? Actually. I played with it again this morning and took it from Battroid back to Fighter. I realized that what was happening was that the head was somehow not aligned properly (or at least the little neck piece) and that was causing the crotch to not fit properly. I feel kinda stupid now, but at least I got it finally!
CF18 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) 1/72 VF-27 Lucifer And this too: And 1:48 VF-25!? OMG it's huge! Source: http://happy.ap.teacup.com/runchickens/ http://blog.hobbystock.jp/report/2009/05/etc0093.html Edited May 14, 2009 by CF18
honkhet Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 holy **** man! thanks for the pics! WOW, that looks like a 1/60 to me, judging its size in comparizon with the stand seems like we're finally getting a PG vf-25!!! now, i am no longer in a dilema to get a DX or not lucifer is awesome, cant wait! and i cant believe the q-rae kit actually comes with klan sitting inside! simply awesome, seems like the bandai model kit division just cant do no wrong! thats what we expected from a toymaker like bandai!
mickyg Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 WOW, that looks like a 1/60 to me, Yes but look at the label under the model and you'll notice it says 1/48 - very cool!
honkhet Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 oh yeah my bad! 1/48 is also fine for me! now, i need to buy some yamato 1/48 vf-1 wow this news is so awesome its overwhelming! (is it just me? ) cant concentrate on work!!
Darth Mingus Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Looks like Queadluun-Rea Klein Klan's Unit is a September release. Wonder if it will come with removable pilot?
Vifam7 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) I knew it! I had a feeling those guys in the Figure Oh article were hinting at a PG level 1/48 VF-25. The Queadluun has a planned release date of September. Edited May 14, 2009 by Vifam7
Graham Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Holy crap, 1/48 scale! Didn't see that comming at all. Wonder if it will be marketed as Perfect Grade. That's gonna be huge, like 39cm long in fighter mode! Think we need a new thread for the 1/48. Graham
Penguin Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 That'll look simply smashing next to my Hasegawa 1/48 YF-19!
honkhet Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 i cant believe i am actually browsing some online shops to purchase a yamato 1/48 vf-1 right now, all because of this!
SVF-Gerwalk Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 And this too: And 1:48 VF-25!? OMG it's huge! Source: http://happy.ap.teacup.com/runchickens/ http://blog.hobbystock.jp/report/2009/05/etc0093.html Lucifer !! WANT !! 1:48 VF-25 WANT !! WANT !!!! WANT !!!!!! WANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I fell like a 5 years kid in a toy store
wolfx Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 The 1/48 will still be a model kit though. The colored Q-rae seems to be a 1/60 DX, is it?
Midi_Amp Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) No VF-171? Bummer... But VF-27 rocks! Its confused design of good & evilness is completely translated to the model kit. Not a fan of the visor flare on the fighter mode... But what can I say... Bring it Bandai! Edit: @wolfx, the Rae is 1/72 scale, most likely it will be a model kit, unless Bandai is splitting the DX to 1/60 and 1/72 size. Edited May 14, 2009 by Midi_Amp
eyesonme78 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 if only the 1/48 messiah is a PG... damn... i will wanna grab that.. but think of the hours i need to spend on making that...

honkhet Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 david hingten --> grace o'connor's biggest fan there is yeah, even if they dont come out with grace green, i'll definitely do a custom for it
miriya Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 So all of these are model kits? The VF-27? The Q-Rea? I can see that it has been established that the VF-25 is a PG kit.
anime52k8 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 HOLLY CRAP! PG-25F!?!? AND KLAN!!! I'm so happy and yet so broke...
Tober Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 So that 1/48 VF-25 definately transforms? Unlike the Hasegawa 1/48 YF-19... A bit OT but can anyone tell me what this is? http://blog.hobbystock.jp/report/images/etc0093/002.jpg
CF18 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) So that 1/48 VF-25 definately transforms? Unlike the Hasegawa 1/48 YF-19... Little is known about this 1/48. But given Bandai's pass record, it most likely can transform. A bit OT but can anyone tell me what this is? http://blog.hobbystock.jp/report/images/etc0093/002.jpg From Gundam Unicorn, which has a movie coming. http://mahq.net/mecha/gundam/unicorn/nz-666.htm Edited May 14, 2009 by CF18
PsYcHoDyNaMiX Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&id=66896 I can't read Japanese, but couldn't help to notice that on the board in the back it mentions something about the VF-22? I know this is Bandai's showcase and not Yamatos. Could someone translate? Edited May 14, 2009 by PsYcHoDyNaMiX
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Could be that Yamato has the Macross 7 license for toys, but Bandai has the Macross 7 and all other licenses for 1/48 kits. It could also explain why Yamato isn't doing much with their VF-1 in 1/48, and concentrating much of their efforts on their 1/60 lines.
