the white drew carey Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Link, straight from the MacrossWorld Main Page: http://member.nifty.ne.jp/tori/cutout/vf1/.../super/img2.jpg http://member.nifty.ne.jp/tori/cutout/vf1/.../super/img3.jpg http://member.nifty.ne.jp/tori/cutout/vf1/.../super/img4.jpg http://member.nifty.ne.jp/tori/cutout/vf1/.../super/img1.jpg I don't think it's technically origami since, IIRC, origami is specifically the decorative art of folding paper, whereas these are commonly known as papercraft, which uses folded, cut, glued and taped paper to make an object. Gerwalker Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Thanks a lot Shaloom! (are you the famous mexican Macross guru?) Quote

Not just in Japan, but all over the world. There's some guy in Europe who makes the best Colonial Marines (from Aliens) equipment. Also most papercraft artists will allow their patterns and designs to be used for free. Quote

Angel's Fury Posted January 29, 2004 Posted January 29, 2004 The Zentraidi pod origami is COOL! The only part I hate is this statement, "All Zentraedi, Macross. and Robotech materials are copyright @ Harmony Gold. Harmony gold is the exclusive owner of all rights including all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights now known or hereafter." Curse you HG! Quote
Grayson72 Posted January 29, 2004 Posted January 29, 2004 Awesome links, thanks Bud, I love paper models Quote

Does anyone have any hardcore experience making paper models? I have questions like how do you paint them. I'm guessing you need to use a special primer/sealer to keep the Acrylics from "melting"/sagging the paper. I'd hate to make a Regult and have it crumple, or the glue fall apart. I work in a print room, I could freekin make a room full of these things Quote
Grayson72 Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 I've made many paper models, I've never painted one, just print them out in color. Quote
Southcross Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 hmmm... I need to find more.. More.. MORE!! Quote

the white drew carey Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 Is there one for the Macross? Not that I know of. I thought of designing one before, but realised I'd have to put much more work into the task than I was able to give at that time. Quote
