Hmmmm - I think Bandai got this wrong!



The Bandai re-release build-up shows the gates removed and fixed to slide open from the centre "Star Trek" style. However, Yoshiyuki Takani's box art from the original Arii release shows the gates swinging outwards as though on giant hinges - who is right?

It wasn't until I decided to cut out one of the personnel doors that I realised that sliding "Star Trek" style gates doesn't really make sense (if you pretend this is a real, logical space), as the gate on the right would cover the personnel door.

In the end, as I didn't like the original hinged door idea, I decided to make the gates into one solid gate that slides to the left into the space behind the elevated gantry.
