  3. Interesting... we're talking about Bruticus again. Wonder if we can make that a theme (foreshadowing)? I mean, Hasbro's Brawl and Blast Off should be here pretty soon... But yeah, I have to original Iron Factory version. He's been chilling next to the clock on my desk for years (and occasionally comes out when I need to re-create that one animation error where Bruticus is a normal-sized dude grouped with the individual Combaticons). A bit stylized, and I'm not really into Legends, but I'm still glad I have him.
  4. Hilarious that they blurred that, but I guess they want people to have to think about what it could be.
  5. That seems to be what Master File is implying for the laser version, yeah. Though how one shoots a fast-moving target effectively from a light second away is anyone's guess. Oh, it was. Col. Johnson frames it as such in Macross Plus. Basically, the New UN Forces took the use of their next-generation main Variable Fighter in internal conflicts into consideration when laying out the requirements for the prototype designs tested in Project Super Nova. They wanted their Next Main Fighter to be able to use its high mobility, high stealth performance, and independent fold capability to resolve conflicts quickly and with the minimum necessary use of force by slipping behind enemy lines to do things like rescue hostages, strike enemy command centers, and generally take the fight out of the enemy without needing to kill them en masse. About 1.28 light seconds on average... but close enough for round number purposes yeah.
  6. The ground work and terrain is pretty cool. The anti aircraft dude needs someone watching his back though in case things get rough
  7. Well it's big but it's impressive!
  8. The hand prototype is bigger than expected It will be resized to the correct scale later
  9. I'm in for Tiamat and all the other B and C rank kaiju from the Monster verse. I'm glad someone is taking a crack at them, just wish Hiya would've done a male MUTO to go with the female.
  10. Never knew the armor could be made into kneepads. Reminds me of Votoms Standing Turtle. Such an odd thing to see.
  11. Omgossshh! SUPER pumped for that work of art @tekering Over here it's time to complete the šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø bomber fleet trifecta ... Two down, one to go.. The B.U.F.F.! 😁 I grew up watching these do touch and goes from Carswell AFB in west Fort Worth in the 80s from the church where my mom worked in the summers and I was out of school. Riiigght in the flight path after takeoff.. Glorious! ***Didn't think displaying a 1/144 B-52 would be an issue.... šŸ¤” However... I just opened up the box and saw the wings! šŸ˜‚ Not suuuure the good old IKEA Detolf is gonna be big enough!
  12. The Green Lantern Corps are, essentially, cops. Space cops. Cops wielding the most powerful weapon in the galaxy. So this is a cop/detective-show.
  13. I like him far more than I ever cared for Aquaman. Actually I don’t think I ever liked Aquaman. I think the draw for green lantern is more of the heart of the character rather than the silly power and that he was more of a key to the spacy side of DC Comics rather than just a character tied mostly to a single city or a situation that has to include a convenient bit of water. But yeah is powers are goofy and his weakness is even funnier. You could literally defeat him by peeing on him or tricking him into a yellow room
  14. It’s a great movie and one of the best, if not the best comic adaptations ever. The style works great for a comedy, but I don’t think I’d want to see street fighter trying that kind of absurdity. That being said, I do highly recommend watching Scott Pilgrim if you’re ok with absolute absurdity and a visual style that cares nothing for reality
  15. The Top Gun: Maverick influence on these cockpit cam shots is pretty strong.
  16. Pumped to see this one!
  17. I'm guessing they're saving him for a potential sequel villain, then clone Bison for part 3 if they get there. Street Fighter is weird lol. My only worry about the film so far is there's a really big cast, maybe too big, I'm guessing a few characters will just be fight scenes, no way they can focus and put actual character time into a cast this big.
  18. I loved this anime! One of my favorite fights is when Chun-Li literally kicked Vega through a friggin' wall!
  19. Wait... isn't a light second basically:
  20. As a non comic book guy what is the love for Green Lantern? I mean a superpower of making green stuff is lame as all get out - even Aquaman's talking to fish is better.
  21. No problem; I'll look for the other shoulder piece in the meantime. If you do need the parts, I'll just ask for shipping; so many folks here have helped me in the past and I'm trying to "pay it forward" where and when I can.
  22. My read of it was that the operator would fly in and settle on some space debris like how Michel does, and settle in to watch a point in space for a period of time? I guess if you wanted to shoot a VVIP coming into dock and you had a couple weeks to set up. Some silly spy nonsense like that, I would say. I sorta read Supernova as being partly about suppressing dissent, to be honest. This was the ramp-up to the VF-X2 events, and there was skullduggery afoot. Maybe that's just me being too deep into technothrillers though.
