  2. @nightmareB4macross That will make a COOL diorama! @Thom GREAT cockpit detail! I'm glad to see a little known airframe get some love! @Chas Your updates are looking GOOD! I don't know the physical difference between the two (I haven't seen Hasegawa's in person), but I believe the most accurate SDF-1 is still the good ole Arii kit, and it could save you A LOT of hassle: https://www.ebay.com/itm/256534032075?_skw=sdf-1+macross&itmmeta=01JSY5XY2NVEGNBSNP5MRHMR0F&hash=item3bba9eaecb:g:owYAAOSwGvRmX3Ch&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA8FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1c08UQTF0BSNandJSTeHQm7GfXKteB94MlA2SxKaFA72So0xVghBq5EjMQcjN94Y4XIeHn7A3JaPyTk3wrTszXaYsRYBmrt4GzRikbL4OfLrHGb%2FtuvnXWTg7GBjdE54zQqOs%2FnQGxX5nncTkx2H5vn4ukBAZC8k5K7ropAb1ewtBuQbspynLWWgZXR1EQejyaPPLPUAdtxccdOgFgrfBZCZX3y%2Fhqa6rICZ61%2BFDAWaLxyq8PHt8hcO1qevRFrrt1xm2M%2FDL2eDPhGBtC5UcqF09Gx6TH8QBH8hGLSikYhqw%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR77h98XPZQ They're so inexpensive now, thanks to Wise Guys, (if you guys haven't shopped their ebay or web site, you're missing out) you can save a lot of trouble. I almost thought of using Hase's Daedalus and Promethius on the old Arii kit, but I don't know how far off they are. It would be nice to have the small vehicles that come with the Hasegawa kit - if they're to scale. - MT
  3. Leagues better and more authentic all around than Bane's appearance on BoBF
  4. SXSW had an AE event booth to promote the series I think back in March. When I heard about it I thought it was gonna be potentially awesome and really wanted to check it out until I saw what ticket costs were and laughed it off. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DG6aHKlvVKS/?igsh=MTJ2dm02OGo0aDJ2eA== I managed to find footage someone took and man, did that seem like a big lack luster.

  7. Quite a shocking effect! I always use white/elmers glue to stay on the safe side.

  9. This is music from an human-looking but alien species from a long time ago from a galaxy far, far away. 🤷‍♂️ Another subtlety in the dance is Mon wasn't smiling (she was actually emotionless, just lost in the moment) and she was out of sync with the rest of the guests on the dance floor.
  10. My read of her character from Andor and other related titles is that it's at least as much other characters like Luthen made a concerted effort to keep her out of that world for their own sanity as much as hers. She wasn't prepared to deal with the mental or emotional toll of having people kill and die on her orders, and they didn't have the time or energy to be entertaining her protests about every decision and consequence involved in running an armed insurgency. We saw a bit of this in season one when Mon was deeply upset at the prospect of a post-Aldhani Imperial crackdown causing widespread suffering, and Luthen having to rather coldly explain that that was a good thing for the cause and run the op without her knowledge or involvement. For Mon Mothma, Tay Kolma is the moment the war finally came home and became real. Yup. It's A Long Time Ago... in a Galaxy Far Far Away. Musical tastes can be different. Mind you, it's not a rave either. It's a bunch of upper class rich folks drunk dancing to popular music at the reception after a three day long stifling traditional wedding ceremony. It's not meant to be a coordinated Bollywood musical number. From what I've read, the song playing at the reception is a remix of the same (presumably popular) song playing on that resort planet Cassian hides out on after Aldhani.
  11. Added the Beast Kingdom Dynamic Action Heroes Batman (The Dark Knight Version) to go with the Joker for the display.
  12. I'm going to agree with this. I would say it's more like it finally caught up to her. She tried to avoid crossing into that world but, that world and her's were on a collision course the moment she helped the rebellion movement. I didn't see it that way. I saw someone screaming in angst that they now would have to kill people, even those they considered friends. At that moment, she's not OK, but that's now a luxury Mon can no longer afford.
  13. I appreciate the sentiment Thom, but there is literally nothing left of the Legioss now. It is in the trash, out in the dumpster, and my new rule is no models molded before 1995. The plastic is just too fragile nowadays. I went through much of this when I redid my Matchbox SDF-1; I disregarded Hasegawa's paint suggestions, as they didn't look right to me. One other thing I would suggest paintwise is to decide at what point in time you decide to show the ship. I chose around just after launch day, as the later appearance would have looked more weathered and faded to me. I also noticed their storm attacker version looked closer to the TV version than their cruiser version did; if they weren't as rare as they are, I'd have suggested using parts from that for the cruiser.
  14. I‘m waiting in this one. Only $13 so what the hell.
  15. I think you easily mask the bolts , the plastic have the panel lines
  16. Thanks @Chas! Yeah, the CA can get pretty messy. I use a toothpic sometimes for application, and sometimes clear gloss or Micro Kristal Klear if I want a longer setting time. And that conversion to the TV-version Macross is looking great! Shame Hasegawa barely made any changes to the kit when they reboxed it. Thanks @Papa Rat! What plane are you waiting on?

  18. Been meaning to get back at this kit. the Engage SR3 Late Juone. 1:144 scale by Our Treasure. Test fit went ok. It needs some work in the seam department and some parts are a bit too snug. It’s a fixed pose kit based of the resin sculpt and doesn’t have any need for PC parts. The kit came with some optional diecast parts in the legs and soles of feet to make it heavier so it would be more stable. They also included two head options and some soft PVC hands.
