  2. That seems unlikely. Char's capture of the Gundam completely derailed Mobile Suit and Mobile Armor development on both sides during the One Year War. It's implied that many of the familiar Zeon "enemy MS of the week" machines of the original Gundam series were either never developed or never completed and put into production because the Principality's government suspended current projects in favor of studying and reverse-engineering the captured Gundam. The Federation, likewise, had to cope with the loss of the Gundam prototypes to Zeon and proceeded to develop a Gundam-Guncannon hybrid machine called the Light Guncannon that became their main MS in place of the GM. One design that was confirmed to never be completed in this timeline is the MS-14 Gelgoog. It's mentioned in the timeline that its development was cancelled because of the Gundam's capture. Two that have been confirmed to still exist are the Braw Bro (now called Kikeroga) and the Big Zam, with the latter only being completed because of Dozle Zabi's administrative clout and ultimately being what gets him killed in this timeline too. Maybe. The whole duel thing in The Witch from Mercury was a pretty stupid plot device that was handled really poorly throughout the series and was one of several recurring Get Out of Jail Free cards for the characters. Clan battles in GQuuuuuuX seem like they'll be a lot worse, since random civvies and refugees living in illegally-built housing are probably not going to have a plausible source of money to afford to refurbish, repair, and resupply any kind of MS never mind an ex-military one. It's even harder to believe that they might be buying them from Zeon, since a MS doubtless costs the equivalent tens of millions of dollars. Installer keys sound like they were a postwar invention, meaning it's weird that any war surplus Zaku would need one unless it was specifically retrofitted to. Ones salvaged from battlefields by the junk guild shouldn't even have that system... or if they did, the key would surely still be inside the downed MS, since a MS with a surviving pilot would likely be recovered. (Unrelated... the installer keys are kinda big, aren't they? The starter keys for the Federation's GMs in Requiem for Vengenace were the size of thumb drives.) Probably.

  4. My Wally also did a reset recently and they moved their Transformers section, too. They're still in the same isle, just moved to the middle instead of being on the end conveniently next to a main aisle. I liked just being able to pop around the corner from the LEGO aisle to check the TF situation quickly, but both have been reset now so I have to travel the length of both to look at stuff. Anyway, I haven't seen much of the Primes stuff, although they did have a copy of Armada (AotP) Red Alert, and a few copies of Party Wallop which have been shelf-warming for a while now. Part of me wants to pick up Alchemist Prime if I see him, but I can't help but think he'll be retooled into Bulkhead, and I'd prefer that. They could say he's based on Animated Bulkhead, but I contend still that Legacy Bulkhead has far more in common with the Animated character, and Alchemist has far more in common and would translate well to Prime Bulkhead. I hope it happens, but I guess we'll see.
  5. I do. I kept him. He's just in two pieces like Bayformers Jazz. I hated that he had no articulation below the waist, so a Missing Link version of him would be grand.
  6. Has anyone EVER released a Tread kit? I want one.
  7. With the exception for SDFM and DYRL....all Macross series are no longer "Japan Market" only....
  8. My headcanon has always been that the Fire Valkyrie is just Hot Rod from Transformers who happened to scan the YF-19 on his way to Earth and just silently sticks around with Basara because he enjoys his antics. And the crazy thing is that Takara is somewhat entertaining this idea.

  10. After looking at the images closely, I have concluded that only the top of the chest is the same mold. And maybe the forearms. I'm sure its safe to assume the sliding thruster spine is probably the same too, but that seems to be as far as common parts go, if you don't count the metal bits.
  11. Thanks. I’ll search for it.
  12. It's the perfect release really, it's made for the Japanese market. Very few people outside Japan are going to buy Mac7 merch.
  13. Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? has been a decent show. I feel somewhat bad for Himari,
  14. I think it’s partsforming. We have a Moderoid and Mospeada thread that shows the prototype
  15. Probably not the best VF to test the mettle of most collectors during these economic times.... It could be worse though.....imagine it being the announcement of the DX Elintseeker.....still worth it with a 245% tax for US Collectors?
  16. LOL....is going to the Disney parks that out of reach financially these days that they need to release "official" POV videos? With that said...why wait until May 4th?
  17. The possible price issues might make this a no-sale, but I might still grab one or two, just because I love seeing all the different ways to approach the VF-19 design. If I do wind up with one, it'll probably stay in fighter mode, since while the Yamato is good, the proportions and shape of the forward fuselage/LEX always bugged me. I want to see if Bandai manages to improve it. Either way, I'm much more interested in seeing this turned into a proper VF-19F/S/P/etc. anyway, especially with them finally adding some proper hardpoints to the design. Would love to see some of the customs out of the Macross 30 game, or the Master File, but those will always just be a pipe dream.
  18. Yeeesh, they need to get with it here. There's still a good number of OT designs they haven't touched (Imperial Shuttle, Tie Bomber), a pile of good stuff from the PT, and a heap of stuff from the "new" canon that they can latch onto. After the two I mentioned, I would absolutely be down for official E-Wing and Tie Defender kits, and I still want a decent standard N-1, V-19, Clone Wars-era Y-Wing, ARC-170 and any of the Jedi Starfighter designs.
  19. going to pass on pre-ordering and wait, i don't think i'll be in a hurry for this one.

  21. That 2nd toxie trailer is much better. I didn't think they could afford the talent they have in this film. Peter Dinklage as Toxie? Inconveivable! (to borrow a phrase)

  23. Interesting idea..
  24. Well, they got a good bit of hype from a glorified 20 second title frame.
  25. I can already see the Disney World ride for this and hear the song "It's a Maul World..."
