  1. Past hour
  2. What's you personal top 3 current gen Musou games? I only really got into Dynasty Warriors during the ps2 days but getting that itch to get back into it this gen.
  3. Hi, I had a full set (all 4 models) of the old 1/20000 Arii ship kits (including doubles of two of them) sitting in my backlog of models for a good 25 years or more. I finally pulled them out, opened the shrink wrap and have been assembling them over the last month or so (another post about those - the quality and fit leaves a lot to be desired; the progress in kit design in the intervening years has spoiled me!). What I didn't realise is that these must have come from either a limited run or a special release as they all contain a random, sealed (a stapled opaque black bag) bonus figure (approx 4" high). They're a mix of characters; I found these: Quamzin Roy Fokker, standing, formal dress suit Hikaru Ichijyo, standing, formal dress suit Minmay, swimsuit Minmay, dress I have 6 kits, but one was without shrink-wrap and did not include the random figure. I haven't been able to find a list of figures included in this run of the Zentradi ships. Does anyone know which figures were produced?
  4. Today
  5. New TVC Snowtrooper set coming.
  6. Thanks. Same to you. 😊
  7. Ah, my mistake. Sorry. But I do think you have some cool looking models!
  8. The realistic face throws me off
  9. @MechTech”The BEST CA accelerator, gap filler, or for building up areas with CA is plain ole baking soda (like Arm and Hammer). It's non-toxic and gives body to the area you build it up in. MUCH cheaper too!” Wow! I will give that a go next time I fill some gaps. Thanks so much for the insider tip. πŸ‘
  10. Yeah, that's what I meant. It's larger, more posable, and distinctly GeeWunnier. With Fort Max, I'd say the bigger, the better... depending on the asking price, of course. πŸ˜›
  11. I had posted something which I then removed since it was in the wrong thread. This isn’t in reference to anyone else’s posts. Just to clarify. ✌️
  12. "Colony drop".... as in "thousands of people screaming as they plummet to their deaths aboard a giant metal colony about to impact with a city that also has thousands of people screaming as they're all about to die?" https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ColonyDrop Or do they just drop an empty colony in the middle of nowhere and turn it into a Walmart or something?
  13. Actually, I think it belongs here! That is a cool looking model!
  14. Yeah, it can be a pain working in Photoshop; you learn very quickly to save in layers and to save often. Learned all that the hard way working on a graphic novel the past 11 years (my own, non-Macross).
  15. @electric indigo Miami Blassty! The Crocket and Tubs mecha!πŸ˜… There's a flashback! @Papa Rat @Thom The BEST CA accelerator, gap filler, or for building up areas with CA is plain ole baking soda (like Arm and Hammer). It's non-toxic and gives body to the area you build it up in. MUCH cheaper too! @derex3592 How did you get stuck with the litter box!?!😁 That's going to be a sweet bench area! Made some progress on the Dougram kit. The switch for the main gun (two position - up and down) is much smaller than the original switch that came with the "missile switch" assembly. So I had to make a spacer for the hole and a new cover to go over the top. I've have the guts of an "electronic sparkler" sitting around. Originally I bought it for the fiber optics that came out of it. Now the rest of the guts are going to make the light flash and give it a little pulsating white noise. Better than just a light. Radio Shack (which has so many stores closing down - including the one by meπŸ˜•) had these cool pink LEDs. More anime realistic and not plain ole white or red. Looking for a good location to install everything, the gun itself seemed good. So I milled out the vents for detail and the speakers to vent through. I took coffee filter screen and cut some pieces to fit into the slotted areas. And everything neatly installed. 1. The PC board was shortened and re-soldered with new wire runs. 2. A recycled laptop speaker was used instead of the cheap stock unit (and sounds better). 3. The PC board was glued to the speaker to keep it all a small package. 4. The ABS speaker was glued to the styrene bits by using acetone on the ABS and Tamiya cement on the styrene. Both joints were well soaked and put together. You can weld unlike plastics together - sometimes. And the whole thing put together. It looks and sounds pretty cool now! Thanks for checking in! - MT
  16. If you're talking about the Has/Tak Titan, yeah, but if you mean Big Mac, it already does look more like Fortress Maximus and not a Metroplex repaint. It's even got most of the G1 toy's sticker details. My biggest gripe with Big Mac is that he's too big.
  17. I did, but I've been a fan of Musou games since Dynasty Warriors 3 on the PS2. There are better Musou games than the Gundam ones, and for Gundam hack-n-slash games the Breakers games are better, but if you like Musou games and Gundam then they're still fun.
  18. Wow! Stunning paint job! Outside of the painting there are some very subtle changes to the kit. The bicep area on the kit is tapered from top to bottom, this build is square. Plus I'd be interested to see how the hand was modified. It's funny how when using this paint technique removing panel lines and details actually improves the impact.
