I still don't get how anything other then freshly turned infected can still be alive, unless they evolved to learn the concept of self-preservation these things all should've starved off in the first couple of months at most. The only ones running around should be freshly turned, to which, if older ones should've been long dead how are more people getting freshly infected to keep the population of relevant-threat infected up? These are infected people, not the undead, or zombies, they need to eat, sleep, drink, and they can catch diseases and die. I'm sure it'll be a fun, tense film, but the idea this virus and outbreak lasted this long makes absolutely zero sense if you think about it at all. That one in the trailer that everyone thought was Cillian's character from the first movie is a solid example, how old can that frakker be? It's clearly not a threat, but I'd imagine the vast majority of these things should be in that condition, or once again, long died off.

I know this is a Hasegawa thread, but do you know if the Moderoid kits would do transformation?

I'm in for Luke for sure, looks good to me. And my ESB shelf is pretty barren, just Figuarts Boba, Yoda and a Black Series Viper Droid, could use an actual ESB Yoda and Luke.

No interest in G2, well anything, but at %30 off, I might've considered picking up the Aerialbots all of whom I planned on skipping due to their horrible jet modes. Oh well. At this point I'm waiting to see if Magic Square or Newage will tackle the Aerialbots and hopefully at least one of the teams has decently passable jet modes that look like the planes they're supposed to be.- 17068 replies

Does the VF used for the logo mean anything? The current WWM logo features the 19, 29 and 25....all non SDFM and DYRL VF's.... Probably just a bait and switch maneuver....but one can "hope" for some interesting developments...

At 1/24 scale, whish is a bit large for my shelf, so a 1/48 will be real nice! -
Oh definitely. I’m kinda excited to see what moderoid is about to do for Mospeada, maybe something other than just the good guys

Maybe that’s what I was thinking of. -
Under normal circumstances....this would become clearance fodder....with the current tariff nonsense....if Bandai is fearful of the "Made in China" ramifications....it's possible it may limit WWM availability to US customers knowing that not too many US collectors would be willing to potentially be on the hook for a 245% tax on it upon arrival at US Customs.....Hopefully, the whole tariff situation gets resolved soon... With that said, I'm good with my Original Yamato VF-19 Kai with Super Parts....plus I was able to grab the set of Fire Bomber 1/60 figs too a long while ago....more importantly....skinny-legged Macross 7 DX'S are an easy pass...everyone knows them legs need to be thicc....

Target had G2 Grimlock along with Slingshot and Air Raid on the shelves last week during their 30% off sale. Grimlock looked nice but I skipped it and got the 2 Aerialbots instead.- 17068 replies

Revell did one. -
It depends on what studio animated the episode in question. Some episodes are reliably consistent, some are inconsistent, and some (as you rightfully point out) are laughably bad. Unfair and unrealistic, to be sure... particularly concerning the most problematic Glaug. 😅 The last few years been a golden age for both Macross and Mospeada fans, really.

Captain's log: Friday, April 18th, 2025. Great news everyone: the technical drawings are done! I'm planning-out the production of the various components, and I have a special request: some of the parts on this model, namely the missile pods, are very much on the limit of what my lathe can handle safely. As such, I would require someone skilled in 3D modelling to produce the files for these parts, based on my hand-drawn diagrams (with dimensions) so I can 3D print them. Please DM me if this is up your alley!

I completely agree here. Everything is inconsistent and the producers of kits and toys have to make a tough decision on size for scale. I think for those making a garage kit, they can choose their preference as well. It was the rubber robot generation. If Macross was consistent, then I’d feel like siding one way or another, but I’m happy to get some great products coming out from multiple companies in recent days. Actually I’m more excited for the franchise now than I had been for a few decades.

I don't think most kids and teens care for Star Wars these days....to get that crowd packed into the theatres, Lucasfilm needs to get tiktokers to start creating memes for the movie asap...worked for Minecraft!- 52 replies

I’m a bit behind on Star Wars stuff, I just remember a ship and wasn’t sure about this one. It’s been hard to get into Star Wars stuff lately, so I tend to lose track of what’s out and what’s coming out -

The AT-AT for this film is the draft design from ESB. Watched the leaked trailer as well. At first I wasn't digging how it looks too much like the series with its VFX and cinematography but maybe that could be part of its appeal? I'll keep an open mind for now. Looking forward to sharing the official trailer with my children too.- 52 replies

I don't get the hate.😄 Mando and Grogu are usually very dependable for fun entertainment, and yes, though it feels like their story is finished, and you could leave it if you want and just ignore this, apparetnly they feel they have more of a story to tell for them. I'm interested to see what they do.- 52 replies
