  1. Past hour
  2. Sweet! I'll be in Osaka later this month so I'll have to check it out.
  3. I hope these upgrades happen, and carry over to the GLAUG as well.
  4. I yearn for a new Space Police 1 set too. I think the Mission Commander is a too big of a ship for a revamp. However, my favorite Lego Set of all time, the SP Striker might be a bit too small. What makes these sets so iconic too me are their elongated canopy glasses so Lego would have to make a new mold for it to capture their shape (and they did a bad job for the canopy of the Renegade too).
  5. If anyone is in the Osaka area. The Daimaru Umeda building has a Tamashii Nations pop up shop in there (till October 2025). There is also the Pokemon and Tomica stores in there too.
  6. Today
  7. $60 each or $275 for the set of 5. Anne Lewis please.
  8. That's kind of what I mean. So many people seemed to complain about the first one, but I unironically thought it was pretty good. Hope it comes to PC. Switch 2 is coming in a little pricier than I expected, and that's before a bunch of new tariffs are set to go into place, plus Nintendo thinks at least some games should retail for $80. I'm thinking I might just splurge on new PC hardware instead.
  9. Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
  10. In theory I do, but they'll have to really fix the gameplay in order to win me back.
  11. Yeah, but it also doesn’t show the VF-19. There’s still plenty of time for some surprises
  12. To be clear, the Battroid design file pics that I linked to don’t include armoured elements, but do have A, D, S, J heads, SDFM & DRYL hands, strike & super parts already designed.
  13. I like their quirky episodes, but I hope the dramatic ones anchor it real well. At only 10 episodes, they better be good! And coming to Apple TV, from Guy Ritchie and starring John Krazinski and Natalie Portman... Fountain of Youth.
  14. The line barely started. I’m pretty sure they’re holding back on it after the recent hasegawa ones.
  15. No sign of armoured Battroid, sadly.
  16. You'd think, but not really. It's actually kind of jarring and out of character how Lacus is demoted to a distressed damsel and doesn't really do anything for most of the movie until the big bad assaults her... after which her only real role is fanservice and delivering an upgrade to Kira that lets him Mary Sue his way through the final battle. I tried to be fair to the film and actually went to see it twice while it was in theaters. It's beautifully animated, but the writing is SO lazy that it's painful and it still has that Gundam SEED problem of aggressively samey design for characters and mobile suits alike. The enemy mobile suits are the worst of the lot, looking a lot like someone just tossed a Gyan head onto a generic Gundam body. Getting started on this season's new anime in a bit. I've picked up three so far in addition to the continuing titles from last season: The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiance and Sold to Another Kingdom Catch Me at the Ballpark! Once Upon a Witch's Death
  17. What you're describing there is normal franchise writing, which is not at all what I'm talking about. I actually quite enjoyed The Clone Wars for what it was. The connections I'm talking about aren't subtle in any way. In many cases, they make up a significant part of the entire show in question. IMO, it shows a rather profound lack of imagination (or perhaps a lack of confidence) when almost every new Star Wars series seems to have to be a spinoff or a sequel to the one well-received show that just happens to have been made by LucasFilm's Chief Creative Officer 17 or so years back.
  18. Nah...it's not just "one very specific" Star Wars title.....it's all of them....every single show has some nod to previous SW shows or movies....maybe you just have some disdain for the PT stuff and may be specifically more sensitive to Clone Wars references...it's not any more fanservice-y than nods to ST and OT stuff....heck, if you are an uber fan, you even get nostalgic nods from obscure sources that no normie would even pick up on, like in the last SW Space Pirates debacle...
  19. It gets better microSD cards don't work, you need microSD Express now. And a 1TB E press is $200.
  20. Yesterday
  21. I think you may have missed a key point earlier on... Andor is a prequel to Rogue One and therefore has a modest number of callbacks to the Original Trilogy, but that's different from what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about is Disney Star Wars near-constantly depending on nostalgia for one very specific Star Wars title: the Star Wars: the Clone Wars cartoon. Rebels and The Bad Batch are direct sequels to The Clone Wars, picking up characters and plot threads from it. Ahsoka is a direct sequel to Rebels, featuring a character who was introduced in The Clone Wars (and even namedrops the main witch character from The Clone Wars). The Mandalorian's Mandalorians are from a faction from The Clone Wars and their traditions are too. The Book of Boba Fett is the same, but it also brings in the Pykes and Cad Bane from The Clone Wars. The Acolyte is all about the force witches based on their depiction in The Clone Wars. Tales of the Jedi alternates between being a The Clone Wars prequel and side story. Tales of the Empire alternates between being a side story and a sequel. Tales of the Underworld might be the most blatant one of the lot, being the backstory for one Clone Wars original character and a sequel to another's. Andor, Resistance, and Skeleton Crew feel like the only only corners of the Star Wars universe that are largely free of the shadow of Darth Filoni. (Not completely free, Saw Gerrera is one of his creations too...)
  22. I was experimenting with a neat 3D printable device called a mantis clamp. For any model that has something hanging off the bottom and isn't completely flat it's actually pretty dang good. Here's some photos of it in use. Most of my examples were 3D printed but anything light like a model it should be fine. Even odd shapes like an X-Wing worked.
  23. I never really thought about it until now, but his son sounds an awful lot like him.
