  1. Past hour
  2. After a bit of wiki-surfing, it looks like that's what happened in the non-canon pre-Disney version of the Ghorman massacre. I don't think we've seen anything teasing an appearance by Tarkin for Andor's second season, so the actual events of the massacre may be rather different. Unfortunately, the subsequent death of Bail Organa on Alderaan leaves her the de facto leader of the Rebel Alliance's Republic government-in-exile. That, in turn, sets her up to become the Supreme Chancellor of the New Republic where her desire to return to the status quo ante rather than make meaningful reforms to fix the Republic's broken system ultimately paves the way for the rise of the First Order and the subsequent overthrow of the New Republic a few years after her retirement. That's hardly her fault. After all, the whole reason she's trying to lose herself in alcohol and dancing at the wedding reception to avoid dwelling on the knowledge that Luthen is presently... It seems like Mon Mothma has finally hit the point where she can no longer avert her eyes from the fact that people are killing, and/or dying, for the cause. I found this to be an insightful and mercifully non-toxic analysis:
  3. Store limited is better value since it comes with missiles.

  5. You can see the differences in this video:
  6. Went ahead and installed some of the clear parts, I tend to always make a mess of the job if I do it after painting. Installed, sanded and then coated in Microtech's brushable liquid masking film. Hopefully the edges stay as sharp and clean as they are here. Finally got time to drag out the airbrush for the black basing. Everything looks wonderful except for the nose cone. Not sure what happened. Part of me think the canopy glue stayed wet on the inside and slowly ate at the plastic. All the way around the joint is like this. Giving me old Testors glue tube vibes when you'd apply to much. So off to fix it with some putty. Masking off details to try to save myself on rescribing later.
  7. All these Takatoku (Made in Taiwan) have several distinct features. When hunting VFs you can spot they are different by just looking at the nose section. See if you can spot this and other unique features. Sorry these are in channel lock bags. But you can still find clues. Have fun.

    1/55's revisited

Looks like a VF-1J that met a Scopedog and had kids....🤪
  9. For as many combinations with Super/Strike armors and Green Joons applications, the Bandai reissue armors are the only set to fit. Arms from one Joons to another are not always the same length or shaped. Same for the backpack on the VF.
  10. Store limited has a different design on the flight stand vs initial one. Also includes 4 AMM-1 which the initial one didn't have.
  11. Yes, the Ghorman Massacre is coming up (it was in the previews) in the coming arc or the following. And it was Rebels that made it canon. This show will actually show what happened. That event served as the tipping point and galvanized the Rebellion (i.e. if peaceful protests are treated the same as violent insurrection, then there is no more room for political action). For Mon Mothma, that event and the address to the Senate afterwards pushes her from being "just another tool" of the Rebellion to being THE leader (in the eyes of the galaxy) of the Rebellion (a tool of a different kind).
  12. It may be a different event from what was previously described in terms of what happens, but they've been setting it up since the first season of Andor. It is essentially the key moment that sets up the formation of the Rebel Alliance, so it's a natural inclusion in a series like this about the early rebellion. I'm guessing we'll learn that Cassian was part of the detail that helped extract her from Coruscant.
  13. If memory serves, the Ghorman Massacre was Tarkin landing his ship smack on top of a protesting crowd of people at a starport (from one of the sourcebooks or visual dictionaries, I'm a bit hazy where I first saw it.). Not sure if they'll run with this or do their own version, but it looks like the Massacre is about to become canon on film/ TV.
  14. I should be able to; just waiting on my delivery. Was supposed to be here today, but it got delayed in Massachusetts. UPDATE: on an update concerning a previous project- I had intended to scrap this, but saved it aside (knowing my temper and what happened the last time I let my anger get the better of me). Tonight, I dug the Legioss/ Leader-1 model kit back out to try to rework some of it again and hopefully salvage a long-backlogged project. The remaining parts shattered. As of right now, I will NEVER buy another Legioss model kit in any scale, any manufacturer, or any form be it toy, model, or WHATEVER. NO PARTS WHATSOEVER will be salvaged from this UNHOLY PIECE OF RANCID CANINE EXCREMENT. 😠 This did more than break my heart.... As for my other projects, they will continue without interruption (one project I'm working on is a surprise for everyone! :D), and it's good to get the KBoP back into the running! I also have another Star Trek project ramping up soon (unrelated to the surprise)
  15. This was the worst part of the first three new episodes. I absolutely hated it. I know it takes place a long long time ago, but Dubstep has only been dead since a long time ago

Sorry to hear that... 3D print might be the way to go. FYI: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6200086
  17. Finished Companion on MAX tonight. Good movie, very entertaining. Sophie Thatcher is a talented actress that can have a big future in Hollywood if she chooses.
  18. ...and yet your handle is "Sanity is Optional?" 🙂 Preach on, brother. I might fall victim to the late tax on this one, but I'm with you on wait-and-see.
  19. I'm not seeing it, TBH. There's no meaningful conflict in Mon Mothma's part in Andor. The few problems facing her are all solved for her by other people... whether it's Cassian and Luthen robbing the Imperial payroll, Tay and Davo doctoring her bank ledgers, or Luthen disposing of her would-be blackmailer. She hasn't learned anything or grown as a result of these events, to Luthen's considerable dismay in S2 E3. We're not seeing a character on a journey. We're seeing a character in a holding pattern waiting for the one specific event that they are a vital participant in. For Mon Mothma, that event is...
