Macross Idol returns! Our annual cosplay and performance competition will be held at MacrossWorld Convention 2015 on October 17th at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center! Inspired by the amazing idols of Macross, we’re presenting our own unique spin on convention masquerades combining cosplay, vocal performance, dance and more! Big news everyone… Macross World Convention is thrilled to announce that Hidetaka Tenjin will be a special guest for this year’s convention.
Tenjin, as he is known to us Macross fans, is the artist that has provided art for many Macross products that has been released in recent years including all Hasegawa Macross model kits, the latest Macross blu-ray box sets, and most recently Arcadia’s limited edition 1/60 30th Anniversario VF-1J toy. He also created the scheme for that special valkyrie. He has also helped in designing and implementing the 1:1 scale VF-25 and VF-1S being displayed in Japan. Aside from Macross, he has provided designs for Gundam and Space Battleship Yamato.
Hidetaka Tenjin has agreed to do a panel that will include a Q&A session, autographs and a special dinner with a few lucky fans (details for each event will be announced soon).
Macross World Convention will be held at the Ken Miller Auditorium in Torrance, California on October 5th, 2013.

Attention MW!!!
We have secured a date and location for this year’s MacrossWorld Convention. I am very excited to announce we will be hosting MW Con 2013 at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center – Ken Miller Auditorium in Torrance, CA. Save the date for Saturday, October 5th to come and join us for the biggest MacrossWorld Convention yet!
This multi-purpose recreation center will be the largest venue we’ve ever secured to host the MW Con and features 3,100 sq. feet of space. We’ll have plenty of room for your favorite Macross displays as well as an opportunity for vendors and MW members to sell your extra items. The Ken Miller Auditorium also features a full sized stage which we hope to utilize for some soon-to-be-announced special events during the convention.

The parent organization of Animazement, Educational Growth Across Oceans (EGAO) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Haruhiho Mikimoto, character designer of SDF Macross, DYRL, Macross II and Macross 7 and the currently running manga Macross The First will be a guest for this con. Please check their site for schedules and other infos.
