Macross Plus Complete Blu-ray Box Set

Thanks to treatment for the heads up… ANN reports that Macross Plus will be released in bluray format in mid 2013. The box set will not only include both OVA series and the movie version, but it will also include the English dub along with many other extras such as a 100 page commentary book, staff interviews, commercials, promotional videos, previews, the Macross Festival trailer, and Macross Plus PlayStation game promotional video/opening movie/in-game footage.

I don’t think anyone can put it any better than the man Isamu Dyson himself… YAAAHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Price: 17,850￥

Once again fellow Macross fans, James Wong and Vanpang managed to catch up with May’n san, during AFA 2012 on 9^th November 2012 at The Changi Village Hotel, Singapore.

The interview was conducted together with other media representatives from Hexishe, Ani-Culture,Teenage, Anime Shrine and Seiyunews (Japanese Media).

Due to the constraint of time and her busy schedule,all Media present there were given a limited number of questions to be put forward to her.

All her answers were conveyed to the Media in English through a translator and as such some content maybe lost in translation….

These are the same kits that were release previously with special decals included inspired by the custom Valkyries in the Dengeki Hobby featured story. Yamato posted these test shots of their upcoming 1/60 VF-4G Lightning in gorgeous black on their website. I gotta say, that color makes it look absolutely kick ass. I’m a sucker for these test shot, I think all toys look great in all black or gray. But you know, since these are all test shots and seeing that you’re done with it. How about sending me this one? I bought the white gloves and everything. I know you’re reading this Mr.K. On your iPad… in your boxers. I know cuz I’m looking at you right now!

Japanese Fans Vote “Diamond Crevasse” For Favorite Macross Song

Almost 13,000 fans in Japan voted for the top Macross songs of all time and at the top of the list was Sheryl Nome’s “Diamond Crevasse” as sung by May’n. In fact the top 10 of the list was dominated by the Galactic Fairy Songstress. The only other song to break the top ten with another singer is “Lion”. Even then that number is a duet between Ranka Lee (Megumi Nakajima) and Sheryl Nome. Macross Frontier tunes take up half of the list of 43 songs. The streak is broken at lucky number 13 with the song “Do You Remember Love?” as sung by Mari Iijima as Lynn Minmay. Fire Bomber chimes in at number fourteen with “Totsugeki Love Heart”.

Macross Karaoke Rooms in Ikebukuro

“Joysound” will open 3 Macross themed karaoke rooms in Ikebukuro on Thursday, November 22. The rooms will be designated as the “Ranka Lee” room, The “Sheryl Nome” room, and the “Fire Bomber” room. The price of renting the rooms is 150 for 30 minutes. To celebrate the opening they will present the first 2000 customers with a “Macross Original Clear File”. Hmmm… sounds like a good stage for our podcasters to get inebriated in during one of their recordings.

Banpresto announced the follow up to their “Macross Diva Collection” to be released o the third week of March 2013. The first of the Series was released earlier in September. A set that included Minmay, Ranka and Sheryl. The follow up set will include the two frontier divas accompanied by their Macross 7 rocker counterpart Mylene!
