Jefuemon Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Well, this didn't take nearly as long to finish as I thought it would. Here's the 1/4000 scale SDF-1 Macross, DYRL version resin kit from Yellow Submarine. No decal work, everything painted. That's why I though it would take me a long time, especially with the ARMD's. Falcon18 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 All those markings and circles are painted? Awesome work! Looks really good. Quote

Jefuemon Posted November 28, 2014 Author Posted November 28, 2014 Getoutta here!!! That's the Yamato 1/3000... Looks Awesome! Great job!!! Well, it is actually colored the same. This was put out for the assembly kit. Went down real nice, but if you think Mr. Color smells bad.... Still have a ton of the grey left, so I know what color to paint my launch arms of all the Digital Mission VF-X kits I'm going to be building soon. Now I REALLY wanna repair my storm attacker kit! I may have to track one down now. Quote
electric indigo Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Good & quick work, Sir. I just checked this against the Hasegawa prototype, which looks a lot sleeker than the YS kit. It will be interesting to see how the final kit will turn out. Quote
Skull Leader Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 I may have to track one down now. Well, if you find more than one, shoot me a message! Quote
MechTech Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Awesome build!!! I like the clean lines and painted markings. I too am going to have to build my old Macross kit-it's not right being a fan and not having one on the shelf!-MT Quote
cool8or Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I swear I posted here! sorry for that. The kit looks great, and the painting job on the ARMDs is fantastic! but why doesn't have the antennas of the Bridge? Quote
Jefuemon Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 I swear I posted here! sorry for that. The kit looks great, and the painting job on the ARMDs is fantastic! but why doesn't have the antennas of the Bridge? Because someone wasn't as careful as he should have been while washing the parts. I think they went down the drain with a load of soapy water and excess resin bits. Quote
