funnystuff Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) Hi everyone, This is my first post and I just wanted to share with you guys a lego project that I've been working on! This is the SDF 1 from Macross Do You Remember Love. It's fully transformable so no removal of pieces is required. Some finishing touches still need to be made, but I hope you like it! http://www.flickr.com/photos/64767766@N07/ Edited December 17, 2012 by funnystuff Quote
Benson13 Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 That's pretty sweet. Can you provide a parts list or an instruction manual? Quote
funnystuff Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 Thanks. Unfortunately not because I just build as I find the pieces, but hopefully the pictures could help you with that. Quote
Hoptimus Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 That is pretty awesome. Reminds me of those small scale Star Wars Lego sets! Quote
Mr March Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 I like it. The landing strips on each ARMD is a nice touch. Quote
funnystuff Posted December 19, 2012 Author Posted December 19, 2012 Thanks for the positive feedback everyone! Here's a small update. I cut out a piece of plastic and painted it to look like the macross cannon was firing. Here are some pictures: Quote
Benson13 Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 And the crowd goes wild. That added firing effect is awesome. Quote
sketchley Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I cut out a piece of plastic and painted it to look like the macross cannon was firing. Interesting. It looks quite similar to the one that comes with the VF-27 for it's gun pod. Quote
anime52k8 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 daww... so cute. I need to see if I've got the right parts to make one. Quote
funnystuff Posted December 21, 2012 Author Posted December 21, 2012 Here's one final update. I wanted the head to look more like the SDF bridge so I sculpted and painted one with super sculpey. Thanks for looking! http://www.flickr.co...s/64767766@N07/ Quote
charger69 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 How about selling some pre-built or unbuild sets Quote
funnystuff Posted December 21, 2012 Author Posted December 21, 2012 no can do haha, but if you have your own lego pieces hopefully the pictures could help you out Quote
grapetang Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Nice! Add a cucumber and you have Britai's ship in-scale! Quote
