Some people have been mentioning that Ranka mother looks like Sheryl. Was wondering whether the queen Vajra could be Ranka's mother since she didn't want it to be killed and also how when the queen vajra may have tried to communicate with her when it extended some kind of yellow glowing light thing to Ranka. Ranka's mother appeared to her then. This could be why Ranka was also called the little queen as being the daughter of the queen vajra. Just my thoughts anyway.

Wouldn't go as far as to say that queen WAS her mother. Rather it tried to communicate its good-will towards Ranka by using her image. The "little queen" title might just be the name for a phenomena where a human exhibits influence/can communicate with the Vajra. Also, we see pictures of what is probably the V-virus, and seems to be cause of Ranka's glowing stomach. Having Ranka actually be a Vajra seems just too out there. (And wouldn't the medical checks have detected her having rather different DNA from the human/quarter-zentradi blood she has? I can buy them not finding this V-virus but...) Anyhow my thoughts.

She was at least able to fly the thing, if only somewhat. Most people in that situation would probably do a lot worse. And she would have made it back to the Quarter if she hadn't managed to attract the attention of four of the smaller Vajra. Even Luca didn't do very well against them, and he's a trained combat pilot (though admittedly apparently not a very good one). As for Alto's reaction to Sheryl, it seemed to me that Alto was oblivious to the intent of Sheryl's words. It's not really his fault, though, given how Sheryl has treated him in the past (the kiss in episode 10 being the most obvious example).

Yes Sheryl making it out to be a joke after she couldn't read Alto's expression just confirmed in Alto's mind that what he said to Michael in episode 8 is the truth. Was something like...

I think he treated her kiss seriously in episode 10 but at the same time was wary because of how he thought she treated him... and when she laughed it off well it just confirmed it for him. Their relationship is kinda like the one you see in a lot of romance shows where the lead has an older childhood friend who messes with him a lot so he never takes her seriously.. except Alto and Sheryl are obviously not childhood friends. (please don't make that a twist Kawamori!) but their interactions from 1-12 of the series do build a platform which the show will go back to.

I'm pretty sure I know the direction the romantic side of the show will go, I started thinking that way when the episode 13 synopsis first leaked and episodes 10-14 have imo increased the chances of it turning out how I think it will, as have the synopsis for 15-18.

It's possible that the NUNS might attach him to the SMS much as Cathy is currently. Brera's unique plane makes things a little odd since you can't really give him a regular wingman to run interference for him due to the vastly different operating characteristics of his VF-27. Since the SMS already operates different aircraft and is a unit that performs special operations, sticking him there does make a certain amount of sense.

On the other hand, I don't think the SMS would be too happy with him, given that he's fought against or interfered with the group on three different occasions...

Let's wait until something actually happens to Ozma...

It's entirely possible that he'll make it through the series in one piece.

You have a point, they may attach him to SMS since NUNS has command over the PMC during their state of emergency, I wasn't thinking of that. However it isn't likely even then that he would get inducted into Skull Squadron, more likely he will fly with Skull Squadron. This especially due to the tensions and proverbial bad blood between them. However he will probably just explain it as him following orders and he was not to let SMS do certain things under any circumstances. How he explains nearly killing Klan is hard though, unless he uses the "I knew she would be fine because my precision cybernetic aiming was sure to not mortally wound her."

Agreed people, give Ozma a chance, why do you want him to die just because he Skull Squadron leader? He doesn't even act like Roy to other characters. I think he will survive the series myself, but I am open to the possibility of him getting severely injured and still survive.

If he were to die I agree Michel is most likely to make leader because of seniority. Alto would have to be promoted from Warrant Officer to Lieutenant (I don't even know if there is a rank in between but I'm not getting into rankings again) for the chance I think since Michel is a Lieutenant but Michel has still been there longer.

Actually there is a precedent that a squadron can fly different Valkyries.

If you think the VFX Ravens are canon.

Also Sound Force had different though customized Valkyries.

Though if I was NUNS I would put a pilot myself into SMS if Brera was assigned there.

Better to watch the both of them.

Only for the lucky ones. Those who are unlucky in war end up being either maimed, scarred or in agony until they die. Trust me, in most warzones throughout history it has been the lucky soldiers who die quickly.

hmm...if they make Brera join SMS I will be very confused and dissapointed, SMS is private corporation, and the VF-27 is a special ops NUNS aircraft, if anything, it should be with NUNS, besides, it will be silly to be like "hey, Alto, Luca, remember when you were trying to scape the Vajra ship and someone shoot at you and also tryed to killed you Alto in Gallia 4, Klan, remember the guy who almost kill, he'll be joining SMS from now on" that would be very stupid

On the other hand, Sheryl's actions make a certain amount of sense at the time. I don't think she realized just how much she liked Alto until the opportunity came up for her to spend time away from him. With the trip to Gallia 4 she realizes just how much she likes to have him around. And then Ranka gets to take the flight with Alto that by rights should have been Sheryl's. I think Sheryl's finally realized just how much she likes Alto. But she's teased him enough that it's going to take a little time for him to take her seriously.

And unfortunately for Sheryl, Ranka's about to start her little offensive just as Sheryl gets sidelined by the illness.

Come'on!! DYRL story is fake! not historically accurate! they put Max in the leader position for the movie because he was Admiral of M7 and the film makers were trying to kiss his arse to get the military assistance and approval. Remember Max always feels good when he is praised

- Shoot Alto's gun without warning when he was using it to free Luca

- Attack Klan Klan without warning and leave her drifting in space (at best)

Who says the raw talent has to put in command? AFAIK Michel has more experience as well as a higher rank than Alto. Of course if Alto earns promotions for his part in ep 14 that may no longer be an issue.

I am more saying in terms of you don't have secondary characters out rank your main unless they are older. Hey I love Mikhail just looking from that film student stance that more then likely we will have Alto take over.

But he already out ranks him. That's the point. He's his superior already. Skull 2, next in line, Seniority. He was "shoui-dono" when Alto first joined the SMS.

They may be in the same year at Mihoshi, but in SMS Michel's is the sempai, even if Alto wouldn't be caught dead calling him that.

Being squadron leader isn't a "rank". It's a post you may aquire due to your rank experience. And when it comes to that, Michel has more. Heck even Luca does. And who assigns someone a militairy position because they performed a movie stunt? Alto is talented, but hotheaded and reckless. Not exactly the prime candidate for a command post.

who knows whats the real reason Leon did that. probably he wants first hand info of anything happening at the M:Quarter thats worth taking note of. similarly Brera could also help Leon/Grace when he's "officially" at the front lines.

Well I feel he didn't need to get rid of the boosters which provided extra thrust. Yes he exhausted the outboard missile launchers but that is no reason to decrease your possible top acceleration. Unless it was unsaid that the boosters were out of their on board propellant and had nothing left for the nuclear engines to heat then it would be a good idea to jettison. However they didn't imply that so I take points off for randomly jettisoning booster parts (Ozma did that as well in ep.3 when he used super parts but I believe his boosters were damaged then because it was after he was hit). The rest of what he did was economical and ok in my book though.

(the Super Armor folds itself into a neat "X" configuration---don't think we've seen full armor, but presumably the bigger, more expensive set can do it too)

Generally when something gouges out that much of a planet, one would expect to see a rather fiery core. Since we don't, I wouldn't let scientific realism interfere with any ideas about what state Gallia 4 might be in now.
