GMANIFESS Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 I forgot about the Evolution game, decent story, horrible gameplay. Wasn't the character you play the one responsible for saving Quora? Wait... who was the guard that helped Tron in that last episode? I hope Disney keeps it all together & coherent. Tron is nice universe with a lot of potential. So we saw Tron defeated in Legacy & Uprising pretty much the same way, then see him tortured & damaged by Dyson, but we have yet to see the point where he becomes Rinzler? But in the pilot ep didn't Tron have his Rinzler gear on when he first confronted & recruited the Beck? Quote
Keith Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 Uprising has turned out to be surprisingly good. As for Tron's gear in the pilot, I "think" he was in generic guard gear, besides which, Rinzler never talked (well, almost never). Considering the state of things when Legacy, I don't seen any possible resolution but a "bad end" to this story. And I'm cool with that. Quote
GMANIFESS Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 According to the wiki,"n TRON: Uprising, Tron was forced to adopt the name and appearance of Rinzler after his battle with Clu, using the disguise to avoid capture as most programs believed that he was dead. Quote
Omegablue Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Why aren't there any figures of such an awesome series yet? Quote
GMANIFESS Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Why aren't there any figures of such an awesome series yet? Maybe when Disney buys Marvel... But in all serious, whoever had/has the license for Tron Legacy toys really dropped the ball. Bad quality control, weird scale/sizes, lame gimmicks & some missed opportunities. They were peg & shelf warming for months all over retail. My K-mart still has stuff on clearance. Quote

I know, but that's Disney faults as they're in charge of approvals, and they chose that cheap little unknown company with no previous success. Quote

Omegablue Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Sorry i meant to say when Disney buys Hasbro. Since that's the latest rumor. No rumour, it's official now that they want to. Quote
Hikuro Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Because Starwars is a Hasbro property. They might really just be cornering the market for that line of the franchise. Hasbro would be fools to sell to Disney. But that's another topic entirely. Quote
Vile Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 (edited) Sorry i meant to say when Disney buys Hasbro. Since that's the latest rumor. No rumour, it's official now that they want to. So far all I'm seeing are denials. http://www.slashfilm.com/hasbro-denies-disney-acquisition-rumors/ Edited November 10, 2012 by Vile Quote
BeyondTheGrave Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 so the latest episode is o n disney xd's on demand channel. idk why but whatever. Quote
Old_Nash Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Great episode. Much reference of 2001, And Tron's Dark Secrets about the revolution. Quote
GMANIFESS Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Bad news... This show is cancelled. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/GraphicCity/news/?a=72575 Quote
BeyondTheGrave Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I read it needed more viewers. Link To that I say why is this on at midnight? Quote
Old_Nash Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Because the Disney buys the Star Wars, and make a new cgi animated series... Oh God... why the world don't in the last year... Quote
Keith Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 It ran for a lot more episodes than I thought it would. Any word on a last ep? Or are they just straight pulling the plug? Regardless, give me my Blu Ray, and I'll be happy. Quote
Fly4victory Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Doubt we will get any toys now! Thanks, there are so few good TV shows. Just make a final episode for the DVD/Blu Ray release to tie everything up. Quote
Hikuro Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 They didn't do squat for toys, and I never saw much of squat on tv for advertising. So far as I'm concerned, do a TV special movie, hour, hour and a half long, kill everyone off and let's move onto to the next tron film. Quote
Fly4victory Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Figure everyone dies or has been turned by the start of the last movie. It would be cool to see Tron, succumb to his injuries or become infected with a virus to become Rinzler, and then off Beck. The end of the TV special just wrote itself. Since the show didn't generate a single toy, will there be any to look forward to with a third live action movie? To be honest, at a minimum, Disney could have repackaged the electronic disks and made some helmets. Quote
Keith Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 This weeks episode was so good, it's really a damn shame to see the shoe get dropped. Quote
Old_Nash Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 (edited) Much close for the ending and a renewal of Hope Edited January 28, 2013 by Old_Nash Quote
Hikuro Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Edward Kitsis countered the rumor by stating: "I don't know what the future [of Tron: Uprising] is now. I know at the present, I can say we need more viewers." So who's exactly to say the series is actually canceled? Of course having the time slot changed to mondays in the middle of the night when ppl go to sleep doesn't help one bit either! I mean who's really going to be up at 11PM to watch this series if it needs viewers? Just when this series really got good. Quote
Fly4victory Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 With a DVR who really watches the broadcast. I like to fast forward and miss the ads. Hope you are correct and Tron is not canceled but if it is there went the perfect opportunity to end it on a high note. Quote
GMANIFESS Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) Exactly. How are they even gauging ratings anymore? Who even watches shows (other then sports) live when you have a DVR? The lack of promotion with weird & obscure time slots almost looks like it was sabotage by some Disney XD programmers or something. PLUS: more then half the commercials aired during Tron are advertising & highlighting other insanely stupid or foolish live action shows with over-acting kids & clueless parents. These shows never seem to go away. Edited January 30, 2013 by GMANIFESS Quote
