I really hope that's a funny camera angle or something they shot it from. The head and torso are too big, the legs too skinny and short.

Actually, I really hope that's what it really looks like so I'm not tempted. The CM's is good enough for me.

I think you are referring to the WAVE Ingram which looked pretty bad. The earlier pic of the Yamato one just shows the blueprint drawing that can also be seen in the background of the latest pic.

Do you have any confirmation that kotobukiya is making this. I saw a few photos in galleries but nothing confirming any info about it.

Is it a toy? Is there a 1/72 Patlabor line of mecha being made by Kotobukiya aside from the Hellhound?

I got the info from a blog, so it's not exactly bulletproof, but the kit would make sense considering Kotobukiya's latest releases.

I believe that Griffin will cut the head sv 51, 2 AV98 and YF19 will not prevent it.

nothing can stop it except maybe a type 0

Over all it looks very nice, though the chest seems a tad to big, I guess that might be for the accommidation of a figure.

I think it actually looks quite a bit like the AV-98 from the TV series, with the larger upper body. Amusing that it's using the movie license, though.

A lot of it is painted grey instead of black but it looks pretty good. Looks like it should have some nice mechanical details.

Honestly, I hope they DON'T change it much from now until the final, because then I wont feel tempted to buy it as the Ingram is one of my favorite (and most-purchased) mecha designs and I'm quite happy with my small die-cast CM's releases.

it's look good this Av98 YAMATO, I'll waiting for a rewiew to see its capabilities. did it a release date and what is the price be approximately.

I hope to see a Griffonlabor 1 / 24 from YAMATO and a TYPE 0 from CM'S or YAMATO.

The Yamato Votoms line is getting pretty large and those are really big and detailed. I think a Zero and a Griffon are a given, but we will have to wait quite some time IMO.

REALITY CHECK:

All 1/12 Votoms by Yamato are based on the original Scopedog design with changes only in head/legs/weapons. No Fatty, Turtles or Beetles since 2004.

And as much as we'd like to see a Hargun or E=X G, the 1/15 Garlands are basically paint variants except for the improved tooling on the Proto G.

So... can we expect more from Yamato's 1/24 Patlabors besides the OVA/TV/Movie1&2/CLAT variants?
