Southern California is one of the best places to find Macross Goods. Mandarake is a used Manga shop (2nd largest in Japan). They recently opened their first US store in Torrace California on August 1999. They will be opening another location in New York within the next year. The store is absolutely incredible-it really feels like you are shopping in Japan. Large lighted display cabinets, almost entirely Japanese staff(fun at best to ask questions!) and tons of Anime products. They really did pick up a piece of Japan and ship it here! Model, posters, videos, books, magazines and about 10 billion anime cels. Stop in!
Another great place to get Macross goods is to shop around the Little Toyko area in Los Angeles. Two great places are Yaohan plaza(Kunikuniya bookstore!) and Bunka do. Bunka do is a little store that has been around for 54 years now and has the nicest staff you'll find. When you walk into the store make the first RIGHT you can and go up the stairs to Laser Disc heaven!
