CM'S CORPORATION
PROTOTYPE VARIABLE LEGIOSS & TREAD TOY
Probably the biggest surprise for mecha fans at this winter's Wonder Festival was the unveiling of CM's Corporation's upcoming die-cast variable Legioss and Tread toy, which will be released together as a set, hopefully sometime later this year (exact price and date to be confirmed).
Sizewise, the Legioss appears to be about the same height as Toynami's version. However, even on this resin prototype, the parts fitting appeared superior to Toynami's. Gimmicks looked to be similar, i.e. opening missile hatches and canopy. The CM's version defitely scores points on the joints though, with sturdy-looking ratched joints being visible in several areas, especially the hips.
CM's Corporation have come a long way in just a few short years from making PVC character figure toys to high-end 'collectors grade' die-cast mecha toys. If the quality of the upcoming Legioss and Tread is at all similar to CM's recent Patlabor Ingram toy, I will be very happy.
