Imai's
Battroids. I love the box art on these kits.
Arii
Zentradi kits. The 1/72 Glaug is absolutely gigantic and barely
fits in its own box.
Finding
these Nichimo kits has been very fun. The quality and detail of
the parts is suprisingly nice.
Imai
Gerwalks.
Arii
& Imai Macross(es)? How do you pluralrize that!? Macri?
The
1/20 Gunpod, Zentradi wordstamp and some small Takatoku 1/320 kits.
My
favorites-the Imai 1/72 Variable kits. Here are all 6 that were
released. Future Bandai releases dropped the Hikaru VF-1J version,
Valkyries!
The largest standard dedicated valkyrie kit was the 1/44. It's a
shame a 1/72 was never made(discounting the variables)
Imai's
Destroids. Here shows both Monster box versions (HWR on left, MWR-incorrect
on right)
Here
is the hardest kit that I've successfully tracked down-the 1/100
Factory with Battroid & Tomahawk. Yes there are tons of Revell
versions here in the US, but the original box art is beautiful.
Imai
didn't disappoint with their wide variety of Zentradi kits. The
Quel-Quallie stands out as most unique in the Zentradi line.
IRON
TYPE!
Want
more than 1 valkyrie mode in your kit? Try one of these.
All
that is missing is the Minmay windup doll(it has got to be the rarest
of all Macross kits) and the Hikaru -microphone model. Help me!
Very
large Fortress series from Arii. The South Atalia Fortress model
box is the largest Macross kit hands down.
Ron
at GTC helped me get a hold of these HEWAT kits. Without his help
I would have missed out on ALL of these. If you haven't called him
up you are missing out!
The
Arii Metalize series. I personally enjoy Imai's Iron Types much
better.
Well
these 6 Arii SD kits slipped into the photo session here-they were
released in 1990.
The
entire Haruhiko Mikimoto 1/100 box art series, and other Arii kits.
Want
a Macross Diorama? Start with one of these.
Each
of the Arii 15th anniversary kits came with a small plastic Macross
character figure. I wonder if my ratios are the same as others.
Arii
1/170 Factories and Destroids. My only Arii 15th Zentradi kit(I
haven't had a chance to get the other 3 yet)
Battroids!
Unassembled
1/6 Macross figures. I like the box art on these.
Gerwalks
and fighters. The Arii fighter is very nice mold. Unfortunately
I can't same the same about the Gerwalks and Battroids.
Smaller
15th kits
Bandai's
non-valkyrie re-release. Can you say 'Imai'?
Valkyries!
All of these designs were from Imai.
The
Variables. These are my favorite re-issues.
If
you guessed these Bandai kits were Arii's old H.E.W.A.T. kits you
are correct. These are second only to the Imai variables.
My
small garage kit collection. I've added about 10 since the pic was
taken
Some
non-Macross items(oh no I've contaminated the site!). Where else
can you find such an F-4 Phantom Gerwalk!?
When
these were re-issued in 98 the VF-1 Valkyries were being sold off
the shelves while these collected dust. Now these are the most expensive
injection valks you can find. Weird.
Want
some Macross 7? I need the Chrome versions to finish off this line.
My
older 1985 & 1990 kits., These lines will be next target.
Nichimo,
er..Testor ROBOT series. For .99 a shot I didn't think I could go
wrong.
Waves
1/72 Fire Valkyrie. This kit listed for 12800 yen, but due to something
they were found all over here for around $40. I know the exchange
rate isn't THAT bad.

These
books were created by a handful of Macross fans in 1983 & 1984.
The Valkyrie book has been my 'Holy Grail' since 1985. I just found
out there are at least 2 more volumes MAT books so the search can
continue!
